"I called Jerry on a Saturday. Jerry worked with me and gave me a solution until he could get the part on Monday to avoid me paying twice for a problem he was able to diagnose on the phone. Very professional and helpful. Jerry always seems all about the customer and finding solutions when they are in a bind. When my pressure tank failed I was on the phone with him Off and on for about an hour. Jerry was patient and professional. His son replaces the pressure tank and was just as professional. $600ish for the pump install and was $345 parts and labor for the pressure tank install"

"Everything went very well. Called David’s on a Sunday when our well pump stopped working. Left a message, and was called back within just a few minutes. 15 minutes later, David’s nephew was here and quickly narrowed the problem down to a failed capacitor and control box. He also offered to replace the pressure switch assembly, which although still working was likely to soon fail. They had the parts on the truck, and had us back up and running within an hour. Excellent customer service from a neighborhood family owned business. We would definitely use their service again in the future."

"The whole process went about as well as any repair I've ever had. The office person I spoke to twice was friendly and promised to call before the technician showed up, which happened about an hour after I initially called for service.
Danny showed up 10 minutes later and immediately was very engaging and demonstrated a great deal of knowledge as he began troubleshooting. It only took him about 15 minutes to determine the cause wasn't a failed pump, but instead some bad wiring. He repaired the wires and replaced the pump controller that got fried due to the short then tested the system to ensure the system was operating within specs.
Everything is working great again. If I ever need service again I'm going to ask for Danny!
Thanks for a great job,
Doug Mobley
"

"Based on good reviews in Angie's list, I called Cecil Grainger for a second opinion last year, after another provider told me that our septic drain field was failing and that we would need some new type of pressure blasting, or a new drain field. Mr. Grainger told me that the pressure blasting was a waste of money, and that the provider's pricing for a new drain field was way too high.
We were very pleased that Mr. Grainger was so candid and helpful, and we hadn't even hired him yet. A year went by before we needed any service again, and we then hired Grainger's Septic Service to pump the system that once again seemed to be getting clogged.
As it turned out, the drain field was not failing. Tree roots were clogging the system, blocking an outflow pipe. Not only did Mr. Grainger pump the system, but he cleared the roots blocking the pipe. He then showed us how to keep the roots from growing back across the pipe, telling us which root treatment to buy and how to use it.
A few days later, when I opened the septic tank cover to apply the root treatment, I was amazed. I have never seen the system so clean. For the first time, I was even able to see the pipe Mr. Grainger was referring to.
Mr. Grainger was also very punctual and very professional. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was very cordial throughout, and left the area so spotless that you wouldn't know he was even there.
We are totally pleased with the service we received from Grainger's Septic Service, and they will be our providers from now on.
"

"
Got up early Sunday morning to get ready for church and had no water. I checked the breakers and none were thrown. Went outside to determine the problem and pressure tank read zero pressure. Even though in-ground well pump and pressure tank had been replaced two years ago, I thought the worst. Went on Angie?s List to search for someone to come out and look at the problem and found Robert?s Well Drilling. They had 100% ?A? ratings. Gave them a call, and talked to Mr. Roberts. I explained what the issue was and what I had done already (checked the breakers, check pressure switch, looked for burst pipe, etc). I told him I did find a lizard (or what was left of the crispy critter) on top of the switch. After asking if I was a handyman, he recommended that I turn the power off to the pump and pressure switch, go back to the pressure switch and clean off the points with an emory board, as part of the lizard may be stopping the points from making contact. I cleaned the points and turned the breakers back on and GOT WATER. I called Mr. Roberts back, told him the good news and offered to buy him lunch the next time he was in Wesley Chapel. I was really impressed in that here was an opportunity to do a service call on a Sunday (at $125 minimum) but took the time to see if I had done everything I could for myself prior to him coming out. This speaks volumes of the type of individual he is and how he treats his customers. I highly recommend him for your water needs.

"

"
Carter was very responsive when we called at 10:00pm. He promised to be there the next day. He was prompt and ready to work. He restored our water and evaluated the damage to the filter system. We were given an estimate and a choice of tanks. His prices were in line with the going rates.

Carter returned the next morning to repair the filter system. It took about 2 hours. When he was finished he allowed me to video him as he gave me instructions to maintain the equipment!

Carter's honesty, skill, and knowledge was refreshing!

"

"In July, the Old Carrollwood area of Tampa, FL received an unusually high rain fall totaling more than 22 inches. Suddenly, our showers would not drain nor would the commodes flush. I contacted Kevin Johnson, the owner of Quality Septic, who immediately sent a colleague of his, John with Ace Septic to pump the tank. With 2 days the tank refilled. Kevin sent out a crew to disconnect the drain field from the tank. Two days later the tank refilled. He sent the crew back and, at no expense, re-pumped the tank, and again thoroughly sealed the drain field from the tank. One of the crew members indicated the tank might be compromised. In 72 hours, the tank refilled. A plumber confirmed nothing from inside the house was leaking in to the tank. Kevin and the plumber took soil measurements. The water table was up to 18 inched below surface. Our drain field was down about 4 feet. Both felt the pressure from the saturated soil compromised the tank. They stated ground water was flooding the tank. There was nothing to be done but wait until the water table dropped. To determine the type of drain field he would design for our property, Kevin walked around the neighborhood asking other homeowners about any septic problems they might be experiencing. Although neighbors reported problems, our situation was unique. While waiting for the water table to drop, Kevin contacted the Health Department and submitted his corrective plan so that he would be ready to move as soon as possible. In the meantime, we were forced to lease a Portalette which sat the end of our drive way. We took showers at the gym and washed dishes in the back yard under the hose. Kevin checked in with me at least three times a week to keep my up to date on the water table. He came out to the property frequently to take soil measurements. Finally, after 6 weeks of urban camping, I received a call one morning. The crew was on the way. The job took three to four days: they sank the new tank and collapsed the old one. They installed a pump to move the effluent from the tank, through pipework they installed on the side yard to the a new drain field in the back yard. To build the new drain field the crew excavated a significant amount of soil from the yard and refilled the cavity they created with sandy soil. The new pipes were laid to provide a 375 sqft drain field. Kevin and his crew removed all the debris created by the construction. With the job completed, the crew raked the ground smooth. Kevin called once a week for the next two weeks to ensure that the job was well done, that we were problem free. Kevin could not have been more professional, or more considerate of our plight. He has my highest possible recommendation.
"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Babson Park, FL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
