"L I put request on Home advisor/Angie's list. Out of all the request this is the only company that responded to my request. Not only did he respond within 30 minutes, he came out the same day, installed my ceiling fan, and finished everything up within one hour. Most kind efficient, professional, and very knowledgeable company. I would definitely use them anytime and every time. Thank you so much, Kevin."

"David did an outstanding job installing our bathroom exhaust fan. We were able to schedule the installation within a few days of my initial call. His rate was the most reasonable of three companies I called through Home Advisor. Very professional and will call him again if we need more work done at our home. I recommend him highly!"

"This is our 4th or 5th time using No Frost Heating and Air and we are always satisfied. We knew we'd have to pay about $18k-$22k to replace our dual-zone heating and air conditioning units based on what our neighbors recently paid so we weren't surprised when No Frost quoted $20,500 before $2k in rebates. They came out to inspect our old system and provided several options (basic, mid-range, and top of the line). They also explained each one. About 2 weeks later, we had two new top of the range units installed without issue over a two-day period. The technicians called before they arrived, were efficient, and cleaned up before they left. We even received a thank you card in the mail. We will continue to turn to No Frost for all of our heating and air conditioning needs because they do a great job at a very fair price."

"Mr. Bost did an excellent job for me for a reasonable price. I know he obtained the best deal for me on the furnace and the air conditioning unit. He answered all my questions. He was on the job when he said he would be; he was professional and courteous. The installation went smoothly, and I have had no problem with the furnace or air conditioner since they were installed in 2008."

"Needed a furnace service before the heating season began towards the end of last year. Everyone was very helpful, we found out that my furnace wasn't working and the service tech got the parts ordered. It actually turned out that it was cheaper than originally quoted. Overall, great experience with the 3 or 4 of their techs I have seen over the last year or so."

"Henry initially was going to do the work on Memorial Day saying he worked all the time. After discovering that his supplier would not be working on Memorial Day he rescheduled to the following Friday and voluntarily knocked $200 off the price. Friday arrived and Henry & crew did an excellent job removing the old unit and installing the new unit. A week or so after installation I noticed some weird noises when the AC ran. They tracked down the problems to parts of the old system that they had not touched. System is now performing well. Would highly recommend to anyone."

FAQs for electrical baseboard or wall heater service projects in Baltimore, MD

Electric baseboard heaters are safe when properly installed and maintained. They often include safety features like automatic shut-off systems to prevent overheating and fire hazards. Just make sure to keep the area around the heater clear and teach children and pets to stay away from it to ensure everyone's safety.

Electric baseboard heating can be more expensive than other systems because it converts all the electricity it uses into heat. For example, a 2,000-watt heater can warm 200 square feet quickly, but heating a 2,200-square-foot home could cost around $2,485 per year at 15 cents per kWh. You can reduce these costs by improving your home's insulation and managing how you use the heaters.

Newer electric baseboard heaters are more energy-efficient than older models. They use advanced designs to deliver heat more effectively and minimize energy waste. However, they still tend to have higher operating costs than other heating options like central heat pumps. Upgrading your insulation and installing a programmable thermostat can help keep your energy costs down.

Electric baseboard heaters last between 15 and 20 years with proper care and maintenance. The top factors that impact their lifespan include how often you use them, the quality of materials, and the level of upkeep. Keep in mind they may become less efficient over time, losing up to 7% efficiency as they age.

Electric baseboard heaters need at least 12 inches of clearance in front of them to operate safely. It’s also recommended to leave at least six inches of clearance above and three inches on the side. You should keep furniture and other objects at least one foot away to prevent fire hazards and ensure proper airflow.
