"At the beginning of our search for remodeling our kitchen countertops, and in looking at the Angie's list of providers, we stopped by Schneider Stone without an appointment to see what they had to offer and look over their showroom.
We were immediately greeted by June, who gave us lots of attention and information, especially considering we did not have an appointment. Not knowing what we wanted, they gave us a tour of their samples and then a list of granite warehouses we might want to visit to help narrow down the options.
We live almost an hour away, but they were willing to do business with us, gave us an initial quote, and then continued to email and answer any questions we might have.
If we had lived closer, we would definitely have chosen them as our fabricators, due to their attention to detail and willingness to listen to our needs. The decision not to make several 2 hour round trips is on us, and no reflection on their services.
If you are considering renovating, we would definitely suggest stopping by and talking with them.
"

"Firstly, this is the second time we have done business with Eric and we cannot say enough good things about his business. Couple of years ago, he did the granite countertops for our new custom kitchen. They had a wide selection of stone from which to choose. They measured very carefully and installed so beautifully that it is difficult to find the seam. Gorgeous results. At the same time, we had them do a granite hearth for the open fireplace (with gas logs) in the kitchen. Perfect fit even in this 1942 farmhouse where nothing is square.
Flawless execution, professional, polite, easy to talk with, delivers when promised - wish all the contractors were this good.
When we renovated the living room last November, we had Eric do a granite hearth for that gas log fireplace, too. Is truly gorgeous.
Cannot say anything about comparative prices since we had obtained a recommendation to go to Eric and did not shop around. Will tell you, there is no doubt to us that we received our money's worth.

"

"MGW did our large kitchen counter project. They were very helpful locating and sourcing our materials and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stone for our kitchen. The planning and prep work was professional and super friendly. The project was completed on time and the quality was top notch. We cannot say enough about how much we love our new counters."

"Great! Prior to Carolina Custom, I had poor experiences with a well known company (poor samples, no replies on bid and I was to get the samples). I drove to Carolina Custom to meet with Ginny for our appointment with my young son. She was prepared! She had samples out based on my kitchen color and what I thought I wanted- Quartz. She showed me the faucets and sinks that they recommend . They could not connect the sinks but she would seek licensed plumber that has a proven track record of good work if I wished to use them. I picked out a color in quartz that I thought was good and she did an estimate while we waited. It was a short time (15 minutes maybe). Then as we continued to look around the showroom, John (the manager) suggested we look in the room that makes the counters and the process it took. My son was highly interested. It was lunchtime and no one was there -it was safe. My son was excited to see the work done for a custom counter. As we were preparing to leave, I spotted a perfect marble design in Corian (not quartz) that would match another section of my kitchen area. Ginny, made a note and showed a couple of others with a similar print. She was professional. There was no hesitation to help and very courteous.
We left with some samples. Most places are in a hurry and could not be bothered with a youngster but these two made it perfect.
On the appointed day, an accurate measurement was made by the tech who not only just measured the area but used wooden slates to make the form. Other companies used the same height on the back splash for the estimate but the technician pointed out a concern with the height of the window sill and wallpaper that butted up to the counter. He suggested adding a 1/4th inch to the back splash. The other companies were going to use the current height without considering this possible problem.
When the counter was ready to be put in, the techs made sure the faucet could move around the window sill without hitting your hand. Then a section of the backsplash had to be lowered in the back to go around the window sill to prevent leaks as caulk had to be used previously (unsightly). They were very accurate and any adjustments were made on sight inside the work van.
It doesn't stop here. When the plumber arrived to install the faucet there was a problem with the hose thread. It had to be reordered. Although the plumber was great, it was his boss who wanted to charge me another service fee to come back out to install the faucet once the new part came in. The plumber spoke with the manager of Custom Carolina on the problem. The plumber was honest with me and made the effort to speak with the manager of Carolina Custom. Most others would not get involved but he did. He was a professional and took the time to help.
Immediately the two managers spoke about my having to billed for another trip. Carolina Custom contacted me and stated I would not be billed and the new part will be installed immediately upon arrival. Having someone stand up for you and stand behind their product is a pleasure. Most companies let the customer fight it out with the plumber but not in this case. John was made sure his customer was satisfied.I have been through the bad and this entire experience was the best.
John, Ginny and their team made this experience so pleasant. They even made my little one feel welcome.
I highly recommend this team and the company. These are professionals!

"

"From initial contact, Lazaro and his office assistant Jessica were very helpful and generally got back to us very quickly. They were able to schedule the work the following week. After the installation, I was very disappointed with the quality of work of the subway tile backsplash and the condition our kitchen was left in after the work was complete. I spoke with Lazaro who promptly sent his brother, Carmelo out to inspect the work. He immediately saw the problems I spoke of and agreed to tear out and reinstall the backsplash for no cost. Although it was and inconvenience, the end result was well worth it! It said a lot to me that they were willing to come back and redo work that an underperforming employee (who no longer works there) completed. They recognize quality work and take pride in what they do...and you can see that in our kitchen! Even though we ran into some issues, the way L&D handled it made them an A rated company to me. Thank you Carmelo for your hard work!"
