"The scheduling process was easy and communication was good. Techs arrived on time and performed work scheduled. They were professional and did a great job of keeping the area clean-while cleaning the chimney. The cost was the same as I've paid in the past with other companies. They did a camera inspection of both flues (I have two fireplaces that share a chimney) and found damage due to internal chimney fires. Fox Chimney helped me navigate through the claims process with my insurance company and I'm in the process of scheduling repairs to the flues and installation of a wood burning insert in one of the fireplaces. They will be doing that work as well."

"It was difficult to get a hold of Peter to set up an appt. I called and we talked on the phone and he was going to return my call when he stopped driving to setup a time. He didn't call back, so I called a week later and asked if he could set an appt. On the phone he asked if I bought the AL coupon, I stated no, that I wanted to see the schedule first. Peter said not to buy the coupon as he could save me money from the online deal. We was scheduled to come at 12pm on a set day and he had a job prior that ran late. He cancelled the appt in ample time so that I could rearrange for another date for the cleaning. When he arrived at 730 promptly, he cleaned one fireplace and went to the roof. He said that my flu cover wasn't secure and that he could replace for $150. I declined as it was new and it hadn't blown off for the past 1.5yrs since buying the home. He cleaned one chimney and was very clean, he said there was no damage and we could start using it. He also said he looked at the basement chimney and it was fine, although he didn't clean or really do anything with it. While paying, he wrote down $245 and the Angie's list coupon was for $184. I told him our prior convo and he was a little mad that Angie's list hadn't changed it. But I didn't feel I should pay the higher rate, so we decided to split the difference at $205. A week later the flue cap blew off the house and it had never blown off before, so now we have to reattach and the screws weren't secured after Peter left. So we will have to get on the roof and reattach. I would rehire Peter again, but I will ask for costs up front. Peter is very shy and doesn't talk much. So it was hard to communicate on details and cost. After he left, he left a vm on my phone about things to remember when lighting a fire, this couldn't been addressed in person face to face. But am thankful he called at all."

"Top Hat did a fabulous job on a very complicated project.  Gary Hufnagel was our salesperson and was knowledgeable and not at all high pressure but knew exactly what insert would work after Don came to the house (at no charge) to look over the project. It turned out there was some obstruction in the chimney and Chuck and Joe, our installers, had to order a special 4 foot chisel  to make the chimney fit the insert chimney. They ordered the chisel and came back a few days after it arrived and did a perfect job installing the insert. Took time to make sure we knew how to use the new insert and cleaned up perfectly after the job. We were delighted with all phases of the project and would use these folks again without any question. There is lots of bad reviews of fireplace outfits and chimney sweeps. Top Hat is clearly a professional and honest business. <br />"

"Tech arrived exactly when promised. Got to work and was done, cleaned up and paid in 1.5 hours. Neat installation. Connected copper tubing to hot soft water line over about 9 feet of ceiling via floor truss. All packaging, scraps and other debris removed from house. Very clean installation. Humidifier controlled from same solid state thermostat that runs the furnace and a/c, also installed by Pharo several years ago. Tech gave me brief and simple instructions on use and adjustment of humidity level. After a couple of days, humidity settled down to setting we desired and has been quiet and trouble-free since. Recommended."

"They did a great job. Prompt, professional, quality work. Conscientious about not tracking in dirt, and cleaned up after themselves to a degree usually not seen in this type of work. I couldn't tell they had been there except for the new piping. They coordinated the switchover with the gas company. Everyone was very personable, both in the office and the techs. Owner himself came to do the estimate and then again on the day of work to check the work. Very happy with the work and the experience. <br />"

"Paramount met the criteria we set for a vendor -- positive references from prior clients, rating of A and no negative reviews on BBB, positive social media and online reviews including Angie's list, and competitive pricing. Mike inspected all roofs, took pictures, explained why the roof needed replacement, and made his professional recommendation as to materials and venting. Mike and Peggy were always responsive to phone calls and e-mails and always made time to answer questions. There was never any pressure to sign on the dotted line. Once we did, we were kept apprised of timelines and changes. All four multi-unit buildings were substantially completed in 4 days by a number of hard-working, organized, and diligent crews. Clean-up of debris and old roofing materials, and magnetic sweeping of nails was done daily, with a final more detailed cleanup done when the project was completed. There was a small issue to be addressed after completion, and Mike had a crew on-site within 1 hour of the phone call to him. The roofs look fantastic! We appreciate the Lifetime Warranty offered by Paramount. Everyone from Paramount involved in this re-roof project was always professional, informative, and helpful. Thank you for making this project so easy and trouble-free for us with little disruption for everyone. This company is highly recommended!"

"This job was done because of hail damage in my area.  SPS installed a completely new roof for our house and our shed. They also opened the soffits and increased the venitlation.  SPS provided a good quote, worked very well with the insurance company and made the entire installation and installation process easy.  They showed up when they said they would and completed the job on schedule and budget.  Contacting them has been easy and they stand by their work. <br /> It has been a few months since the roof was installed. During the first rain storm, we experienced leaking around a vent. SPS came out and fixed it and the damage to the wall immediately.  Now that it's winter, we have had 2 more leaks appear (one in the front and one in the back of the house).  Both are minor damages along the outer walls.  SPS has come out without complaint to investigate these leaks as well.  So far, SPS believes they are due to the ice damming from the slush storm we had earlier in the winter (we never had leaks with the previous roof during storms).  I will agree that we have a fair amount of ice damning in the gutters and on the lower portion of the roof.  However, we had this with the previous roof as well and never had leaks.  Due to the leaks, I am unable to provide SPS with an A. I am happy with their service, but I am very dissatisfied with the leak issues we have experienced. <br />"

"We've had Mike do several things for us.  He landscaped and regraded a side-yard that was having poor drainage.  Haven't had any basement water issues, since.  He installed a dishwasher for us and was willing to pick one out for us to b/c I could care less about that sort-of thing and don't have time.  He has also fixed our dryer.  He is amazing and I trust him completely!"
