"I hired Joe to measure out and install a new custom storm door for my house. During the process some significant rot of the door frame and exterior window frame was discovered. Joe was very transparent, detailed and vigilant in resolving the issue. He fixed up all the rot and got the new door installed successfully and it looks unbelievable. Not only would I hire him again, I already have. Very glad to have found Joe for my home project needs."

He's installed large windows, doors, counter tops, bathroom shower tiles and floors, fireplace tiling, siding repair, kitchen island renovation etc. We've found that he's very dependable, easy to work with and takes great pride in the work he performs. I grew up on a local dairy farm. Working hard is a way of life. I started working in the trades through a youth apprenticeship program in high school, where I worked half of a day on a residential jobsite. I continued to work in the construction industry and went to MATC. I graduated the Wood Technics program. It consisted of multiple classes including drafting, codes and regulations, building trades and remodeling. I started Quam Construction llc in 2007. We have been doing construction remodeling and repairs ever since.

"Reframed interior of our old farm-house in Portage, framed cavities for plumbing & HVAC access, reinforced subfloor and added support to timber foundation, added headers & hung solid wood doors. Very satisfied with the workmanship and expediency of this job. Started as a small project, but as it became evident we needed more done, he gave us a schedule and made time to complete everything we needed of him. Would advise those considering hiring DHI to have a full scope of the project laid out ahead of time so they can aquire materials and allot hours. We went far above our initial scope, and although we are blown away by the quality of the work, it certainly made scheduling much more strenuous on them."

"After purchasing an Angie's List Deal, I received the measuring kit in the mail promptly. The template and instructions provided to draw my split table top and each of the leaves were easy to use and understand. I mailed the completed materials and received the table pads very quickly. The table splits in the middle to allow insertion of up to 3 additional leaves. The table also has 2 drop leaves. That's 7 pads. All fit perfectly. I have used them on the table for family parties (not every day) and they're durable and built to last. I keep them in the box they arrived in to protect them when not in use. These are a worthwhile investment."

"Shena did an excellent job. The color she helped me chose for the bedroom was perfect. Her painting was meticulous-no sloppiness whatsoever. The crack in the kitchen ceiling turned out to be a bigger job than anticipated, but she didn't charge me extra. And as a bonus, she likes cats. Our cat, who can be quite a pest, kept her company while she worked and she didn't mind at all!"

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Baraboo, WI

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
