"Turned out that the fix was simple -- but we wouldn't have known what to do without advice from the technician. Really appreciate the service and expertise! Only complaint was that the tech took unnecessary time asking about products we use in the dishwasher. We have no complaints about the quality of washing and drying we are getting, and we're committed to using products that don't scratch or perfume our dishes or harm the water supply. Technician asked what we use and told us to "throw that away" and use recommended products. I can understand that certain products are recommended with certain makes of appliances -- but it would have taken 20 seconds to tell us what the recommended products are without having our choices criticized. "Derrick and Mitchell removed my microwave-oven combo from wall to repair the microwave . It was completely dead and they discovered that the reset switch was off and it took care of the problem. They just reset it. Previously another company came out and saw that it was dead and was 15 years old so they didnâ t even take it out of the wall to check anything because it was too old and they couldnâ t get parts and I needed to replace the whole combo which was about $5000. I searched on line and could get parts. The Blue Tie men saved me a lot of money and they were very nice men. Blue Tie charged only the service call which was $69. Plus tax."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
