"Steve Hernandez, the crew leader, showed us detailed photos of the problems with our heating system flue and chimney. The former was in such bad condition he rescheduled work so he could get the job down that day! A few days later he and his crew came back to remove the badly worn chimney bricks and concrete crown and completely rebuild them. He had ordered and installed that day a custom cap. The crew was efficient and polite both days. Steve really helped me understand our own particular heating system and what to do going forward to keep it safe and efficient. Truly, kudos to Steve."

"I was really worried about the condition of our chimney and didn?t want to keep putting it off. The mortar was in rough shape and the top of the chimney definitely needed attention. Everything was cleaned out, repaired properly, and finished with a new crown and cap so it?s finally protected from water and weather. The chimney looks solid again and I feel a lot better knowing it was done the right way. He walled off a second door to access the bathroom, ripped out old tile, and put down new tile and installed a new vanity. Very happy with the finished product. "Hired Shamrock Construction to inspect our chimney. Peter indicated what needed to be done, options, and pricing. He re-pointed mortar, fixed top course of brick, sealed outside of chimney, replaced flashing. He discovered termites along one section of foundation and excavated around remaining perimeter of house to check for other termites/bugs; treated as required.  Peter has been in the construction business for 23 years and is technically knowledgeable.  He has a keen eye for areas that may have problems; investigated areas of concern, and showed what needed to be done. "Both Josephs were responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable- They called and came to look at the problem within half a day of my initial inquiry. I was lucky that they happened to be working on another house just a couple of blocks away. So, they came the next day to do work : 1. Fill cracks on the ground, and build a run-off in the alley way to stop water from damaging the exterior wall, and going down to the basement. The basement did remain dry after 2 days of rain after. 2. a few days later, replaced 2 cracked bricks on the facade of the house. I am very impressed with how Joe F. took time to seal the mortar around the bricks so carefully...beautiful work. I recommend them very much!"

The repointing, some brick replacement and new capping looks terrific. They were very efficient and careful of the taking down and the disposal of the old bricks which were removed from the old Chimney top. The work site was left neat and tidy at the end of the day.
