"United Freight did a great job and were timely and even ahead of schedule. There was a Tropical storm tracking for VA, and they got the car accross country and off the truck and to me in time to beat the rain. They were also good with communucation the whole way."

"I had several small projects I needed to have completed at my home: <br /> <br /> <ul> <li>- Small masonry repair to an outside wall, some decorative stone had fallen off the house during the winter</li> <li>- Door to patio rehung or realigned</li> <li>- Garage drain repaired or rerouted</li> </ul> <br /> I contacted the company via Angie's List and they responded in a prompt and friendly manner.  It is a family owned business and one of the family members came out within a few days to estimate the work.  He was great to deal with, very professional.  The estimate was on the high side but I don't mind paying for quality work.  I signed off on the estimate the same week.  I was told that it would be "at least couple of weeks" before they could get to the work.  I was not in a huge hurry and had no issue with this. <br /> <br /> A couple of weeks came and went, and again, and again with no word from the contractor.  Finally, after about 6 weeks i was so concerned about impending winter weather (October in Duluth) that I called and asked for an update.  I got the impression they had simply forgotten about me. <br /> <br /> They scheduled the work for a couple of weeks after that, and did show up on schedule.  Total time from estimate to completion of tasks was 2 months.  In my opinion this was a long time given the light nature of the work. <br /> <br /> The quality of the work was just OK. <br /> <br /> The garage drain issue required that they dig a hole in my front yard (which I approved to be sure), and that they build a catch basin for me.  This required some unplanned extra effort and was the piece of work i was most impressed with. <br /> <br /> The masonry repair was completed and the work was fair. <br /> <br /> The repairs to my patio door were not impressive.  It is a large swinging wood door that was likely improperly hung when the house was built and has never closed correctly.  When the estimate was done we talked about how the door would probably need to be completely rehung.  When they did the work they simply adjusted the door as much as they could without rehanging it.  It doesn't close much better than it did before. <br /> <br /> Overall I would work with them again.  Once I reminded them that i was on the waiting list they did react promptly and were professional to deal with.  The reality is that they answer their phones and are an actual business, which puts them well ahead of the majority of contractors available in Duluth."

"We are 100% pleased with both the service provided and the quality of construction. Further, we were in a major bind, and Mint Property Services stepped up to the plate, even working weekends for us, went the extra mile and "saved the day". ----- The background... short version - Elderly family. Sudden health decline. The decision to move them into our small guest house is made only one week before they were to actually take up residence, and only A COUPLE of days before we had to leave the state to go retrieve them. A significant portion of the structure was in shambles and half-gutted from water damage, and still had mold. Further, the floor in this room was significantly lower than the main structure, creating a tripping\falling hazard in between. Another door in the house was too high and had a major step up and over. No way we were getting this all done in time on our own. Talk about stressed... We contacted Jason, explained the situation, and he got right to work. Having worked with him on a smaller job, we trusted him and left him with the keys to the guest house. When we left it in his hands the place was half torn out sheet rock, concrete floor, water stains, mold, and the list goes on. We didn't even have time to figure out exactly how we wanted to finish everything out, so we had Jason make some suggestions, went with what he suggested, and even gave him creative license on some items that were unsettled. He assured us that it would go from the state described above to mint condition by the time my grandparents arrived to take up residence here. ----It did.---- My wife arrived with my grandparents a few days later, and called me (I was back at their place packing still) before she even had them settled in to express her pleasure with the work completed.-- He knocked it out of the park (and worked Saturday and Sunday to do it). The new floor is sturdy, level, smooth, and the tripping hazard and awkward transition completely gone. One door raised and the other lowered perfectly. The creative license on items such as room color, trim style, style and finish of doorknobs and locks, he nailed it. I could go on, but I'll summarize it by saying that it was hard to believe that it was even the same room. My grandparents were able to move right in and feel right at home during this transition that is very difficult for them. -- He didn't stop there. While working on the place he noticed the bathroom door would not shut because the frame was a bit out of whack. On his own, he pulled the door, trimmed down the edge so it would close all the way, and reinstalled. He than wrapped the entire exterior in plastic to protect it from water infiltration until we could fix the underlying issue outside in the spring. I should also mention that there were a couple of hiccups of my own doing while we were out of state (materials I forgot to get, lost door keys, etc), and Jason handled them all with ease and without complaint. After finishing all of his work, before he left he even cleaned up our pre-existing clutter that we did not have time to straighten up before our departure.... a very welcome surprise upon our return. Jason did excellent work and took a lot of stress off of our family. We turned him loose on the project and truly did not have to worry about a thing; everything was completed to perfection. His company is aptly named."

"Very good communication to arrange the quote and actual work, and they showed up on time.  The job started as basic wall and trim work, with no detail for closet and door work.  The price for that work was very competitive.  Upon seeing that work I added 3 additional walls and closet trim work (shelving, door jams, etc.) and the price escalated significantly, by more than double.  The ending price was the same had I hired a professional painter, versus Bostad, which is more of a handyman service.  While I like the work Bostad performed, for the final price, I would have preferred to go with a professional painter as they would have prepped the walls as necessary. <br />"

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair.  The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. <br /> Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. <br /> I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction. <br /> WRS <br /> <br />"
