"I had a great experience with Frank. He helped with both TV mounting and cabinet installation, and the results were excellent. He was professional, detail-oriented, and made sure everything was done properly. The setup looks clean, secure, and exactly how I wanted it. I would definitely recommend his services."

"The chimney removal went smoothly. Added other work to include the removal of shrubs and other yard debris. Finished everything off with a truckload of pavers delivered to my home for re-use. Will wait till the spring to have them laid down."

I'm a retired US Marine and have been around for years...including dealing with a number of situations and problems all over the world..my life would have been a lot easier if I had been dealing with people of Jacob's mindset....people like Jacob are why Vet's like me are proud to serve....nicely done,Jacob, proud to know you###"

Customers say: Quick response

"Mr. Dolloff was prompt in his response to our inquiry into landscaping projects we were considering. He gave us a free estimate on several projects. The cost seemed very fair and we had him complete a quarter of the entire project ~ grooming a hillside with severe erosion and creating a parking area for 2 cars. The hillside is beautiful. Exactly what we wanted and better than we expected. The parking area was not what I would call satisfactory. But in all honesty, they completed both jobs on time but unfortunately it was just the day before we got all that heavy rain the weekend of October 21st. We are planning for him to complete the other landscaping we need down and he offered to clean up the parking area as soon as the weather settles down."

FAQs for excavation major grading or resloping projects in Barrington, NH

You can excavate in winter, but frozen soil slows down the process and increases labor costs. Many grading companies offer discounted rates during their off-season, so ask for a winter quote and weigh the savings against a longer timeline. A brief conversation with a local professional will help determine whether cold-weather excavation is suitable for your site.

Foundation digs can be completed in as little as three days or take up to three weeks. Soil density, access, weather, and hidden obstacles all play a role, so every timeline is a bit different. Have your contractor walk the site and flag any potential issues early—clear expectations help keep both the schedule and budget on track.

You must always call 811 before excavating. Dial 811 a few days in advance so that utility crews can mark underground lines and ensure the area is safe for digging. Hitting a buried cable or gas pipe can be both dangerous and expensive, and many municipalities will not issue permits unless the site is flagged correctly.

To remove soil during an excavation project, your crew will load the spoil into dump trucks with a backhoe or excavator, haul it to a disposal site, and return for the next load. Efficient hauling keeps the work zone clear and the project moving. Depending on the site and volume of osil, multiple trucks may rotate to maintain a steady flow.
