"I live in Owings, MD. William Richmond's team replaced my windows and siding a couple of years ago. The quality work, crew, professionalism, and clean up were remarkable. Recently, he replaced my roof with architectural style shingles. It gave my entire home a beautiful boost and will help to protect my family's biggest investment for many years. I highly recommend this company. They are awesome. Thank you. Brendon "

"Exteriormax was extremely helpful in working with my insurance to get most of my roof, gutters, and siding replaced. Chidi was very personable and explained my options as well as provided his expert opinion. The work was scheduled and completed within a week of contacting them. Definitely recommend"

"Spent ~$50,000 on a new roof with them. Thought everything went well. Years later discovered that they had not sealed the cricket on the chimney well enough. Discovered water coming in and eventually rotting the wallboard, studs, etc. Had to replace entire wall. Called them about the issue, they sent a rep. He said it was the chimney's fault, it was leaking. Not so, opened the wall and ceiling and had another roofer come spray water on the chimney, nothing, no leak. Then sprayed water on the cricket, water came in. Exterior Medics would not admit any fault. Had it repaired, no leak, no problem since then. Had recommended to a friend, never gain, he also had a bad experience. DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT QUALITY WORK AND A COMPANY HAT STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORK."

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in Barstow, MD

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
