"We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

"The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."

"What incredibly poor service. We needed help with the lock on our front door, which completely broke and did not work at all. Cothron's came out, charged us $100, and said they would send us a quote for a new lockset. That was on October 2 - 14 days ago. We have called numerous times - no quote. This is our front door - we need it fixed. We were told someone would call us back, then someone was out sick, etc. No one ever called, no one ever provided a quote, after charging us $100 to come out to look at the lock. And that's just a quote - we still need the actual service performed. We have called numerous times. Unbelievably horrible service. We are contesting the $100 charge on our credit card. We are practically begging for a quote to spend money with them but they could not care less. Cothron's used to provide excellent service but clearly not anymore. Sad."

"This is a 6 STAR Company! Just moved to the area, and after having our house broken into & suffering thousands of dollars in damages and theft 10 years ago, I immediately went with BRINKs since they were our former company in another state for almost 3 years.  What a humongous mistake!  Since BRINKs does not have continuous running security cameras, I did a GOOGLE search to find a reputable company to purchase our system from and also install them and I saw that Security Consultant PROs had not only great reviews but their family photo also caught my eye too= to me that was an indicator that they are proud of the value they provide to their community and quite confident in what they do.  Within 48 hours of me calling Mary, she & her husband James were at our home doing an assessment of how many cameras we may need and they saw our BRINKS sensors for our windows and doors...to make a long story very short, I have canceled our BRINKS contract because Mary was able to provide a much better product that has better range for a lower price...and her son Jimmy, who is an incredible computer GURU, installed all of them for me!  Additionally, the security cameras that I purchased from them and that James and their very agile employee Matt installed last month have incredible capabilities & features that make it easier to see objects both day and night.  Rest assured that I shall NEVER recommend BRINKS in the future to anyone ...it took me calling BRINKS 4 times over a 14 day period to get a return label for that is the only way to get a refund from them in a timely fashion; on the 3rd attempt, a BRINKS "customer service rep" laughed at me when I could not get my password or passcode correct=she was SO WRONG in both her verification efforts and attitude! So I urge anyone reading this review to be smart and call Mary for she and her terrific family shall take AWESOME care of you, your family, and your property/valuables for they will save you time, money, and lots of frustration too!"
