"Excellent! I'd bought a beautiful slab French door last year from Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and painted it this past winter, but had difficulty finding someone to install it. After doing a lot of research, I found that installing a slab door requires a high degree of carpentry skill. <br /> I got David's name from my aunt - he has done some work for her. He came by on 08/13/15 with his assistant Seth to look at the job. The installation was complicated by the fact that the French door is a true exterior door - 1-3/4' thick, whereas the original back door  was 1-5/8" thick. After discussing two approaches to adjust for the great thickness, we went with my approach of trimming the door stop by 3/8" so that the door would sit completely within the frame. <br /> We arranged to do the work on 08/19/15. The work took a couple hours. He removed a lock remnant from the previous owners from the door frame. He did say candidly that he was not a finish carpenter, so I had to fill the spot where the lock remnant had been with wood putty, and also fill the area on the frame where the bolt lock had been on the original door, but I was fine with that. I do some DIY work, but I know my limitations - installing an exterior door is one of them. When they were done, David and Seth moved the original door to my cellar per my request - I may reuse it in the future.  <br /> David and Seth came back the next morning after I had chance to paint the raw wood that was revealed by the trimming. They quickly reinstalled the weather stripping, and we settled up. The $125 price was a bargain - the fellow I know at Home Depot's door desk once told me that $500-600 is a normal price for slab door installation. I've lived with door for a month now, and it still moves and locks easily. It is very nice having more sunshine in my kitchen. I'll appreciate it even more when winter arrives and the kitchen is both warm and sunny.    <br /> David and his assistant Seth were friendly and down to earth, and I felt very comfortable with them in my house, and that's important too.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Everything about this vendor's operation was professional. Once we agreed to go with Morningstar, they were very responsive to all our requests and needs. Quick turn-around from template to installation. Same craftsman does the template and supervises the installation. If you intend to spend the money on granite, then you want this kind of expertise and professional attention. By-the-way, they can do a leather finish on any stone counter. Other venders could not offer this. <br />"

"We had someone locally install faux wood blinds in three of our rooms and I didn't like the quality of the blinds and didn't want to use them for the whole house.  After researching online, I decided on selectblinds.com and ordered blinds for the whole house.  I ordered them in 2012 and then again I ordered for three rooms just recently so that I could change the color of the blinds.  I have been very pleased with the quality of the blinds and they are holding up well. <br />"

"Leslie Hayden, Owner of Creative Visions Interior Design, was extrenely easy to work with and made the process of making critical decisions much less stressful. She is not afraid to give you her honest opinion, which is refreshing as it surely saved a ton of time and helped to get us both on the same page very quickly. She made herself available to meet with me even when it was inconvenient for her (for example the time she drove to Portland from a job 45 minutes away, just to give me paint samples to review, so my painter could start a day ealier.  She then returned to that job site). She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and conscientious.   In the end, I could not have gotten through the renovation without her and her expertise provided me with a home that is simply stunning. The name of her company says it all - Creative Visions Interior Design - She does have vision and knows how to bring those visions to fruition.  I wish Leslie all the best, and highly recommend her to do your next job, no matter how big or small. <br />"

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. \n Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to aarontristan39@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. \n Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's \n 225 for 11x14's \n 275 for 14x17's \n After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. \n The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

"After I hired a company to paint the exterior of my home, I realized that I needed help selecting the colors. I had recently purchased an 1840 Greek Revival home and I wanted the exterior colors to be authentic and in keeping with my in-town neighborhood in Bath, Maine. Scott Smith recommended that I contact Joy Knight of Paint Design Unlimited because they had successfully worked together in the past. I called Joy and arranged a convenient time for her to come to my house and meet with my wife and I. Joy arrived promptly at our appointed time. She walked around our home and then sat with us in our kitchen. Joy came prepared with a vast knowledge and experience of colors and color schemes as well as thousands of paint samples from which to choose. Joy guided us in selecting just the right exterior colors for my home. I have gotten nothing but compliments from my friends and neighbors for how the final colors turned out. I would definitely recommend Joy!"
