"Install was simple and took a modest amount of time. Still need to install an outlet in a cabinet to hide the power cord for the keypad. The alarm is loud, but not audible outside the house. Consider an add-on unit if you want to alert the neighbors. Signal range is less than ideal for some window sensors; a repeater (most any 2gig module that is hardwired) of some sort will likely help. Motion sensors are cheap looking and do not inspire confidence. Tech support answered quickly and walked me through a technical question about adding a second keypad to the system. Cellular communications are far superior to ADT system at previous house. I do not like the contract renewal clause."

"I received the system on time, set up was fairly easy. Activation support was superb and in the month since the alarm was activated it has worked flawlessly. I like the fact that I can check, arm and disarm the system remotely. I receive a text very quickly every time the alarm is armed or disarmed. There is a monthly fee of $39.99 and the basic cost of the kit was $99.00, a motion detector, panel, camera equipped motion detector, 4 door alarms, a panic button key fob, stickers and signs."

I scheduled an appointment <strong><em>for the next day</em></strong>!  The installer, Chris, showed up on time, with the correct parts and was done in less than an hour. Chris was very polite, professional and cleaned up after himself. He took the time to setup the system to my specifications then reminded me to test it before he left. It worked perfectly. <br /> Interestingly, when discussing options to get my security systems off of the land line, I was discouraged from moving to an internet based system even though it was more expensive. Both the salesmen (Corey) and the installed (Chris) explained that the internet providers will often take the system down for short periods of time at night for upgrades and maintenance. This causes "trouble alarms" in the house which are irritating. I appreciated their honesty since I am a gadget freak and would have jumped at an internet solution.  <br /> The true measure of a security system provider is not the number of gadgets, bells and whistles,  nor free installation. They recommended a brand other than the most well-known and popular brand because they said it was a better, more reliable unit. I'm glad I followed their recommendation. I have them service my unit annually. They usually call me to remind me of the service due, rather than the other way around. The only repair necessary in the years I've had my generator was to replace a battery that died prematurely. It was done promptly when I called.
