"This is an upgraded review after an initial 2-star grading. Responsive customer service to issues with the purchase itself made all the difference and allowed me to keep an open mind as I continued into the installation process. Overall, other than a few "they could do this better" items, the quality, the accuracy, the value, the helpful support team, and the easy installation of my 7 motorized solar shades all point to 5 stars. We followed the measuring instructions carefully and received shades that fit each space exactly as I expected. Installation itself was easier than traditional shades using the solid brackets they provided. Questions I had during installation were answered promptly through Chat. The remote control was a bit of a challenge, so be patient if you bought a multi-channel one and have lots of shades in your room. And for some reason they don't tell you this, but you must have a remote for your motorized shades. The app alone isn't enough. Our only minor gripe is that determining how solar shades look at night was just a game of inference. It would be very helpful to have an online tool available to create your own scene, which includes shade color, indoor or outdoor, and time of day. Even samples don't help much more. Still, I'll return to them when it's time to take care of other rooms. We did this project for 2 to 3 thousand dollars less than big box store quoted us. It was a cinch."

The unpacking was done by SOS. 85% was completely handled by SOS and my parents just had to adjust somethings as they got used to the new apartment. the decor was set to match their home. University place matched colors and SOS came very close to matching the layout of the living spaces. These ladies are angels sent to help families in stressful time."

Designs for Living sub-contracts with many local and long-distance companies including Signature Custom Cabinetry, Bentwood Luxury Kitchens, Think Glass, and Granville Glass and Granite. Clients pay an initial design retainer based upon the project size. Design services, cabinetry, counter-tops, and other materials are offered.

"Very happy with salesperson (Gabe) and the options were explained well. Very competitive pricing on carpets. Measurement and Installation was terrible. The person who came to measure my house (Steve) did a terrible job, he did not even care to measure 2nd bedroom and just assumed length to be same. Installer had to call their office and put additional seams. I had a hard date to get my project done and could not wait and had to get installation done with seams. He stretched the carpet more than desired. Carpetland did not even call to apologize or accept the mistake. I now have space between tile and carpet and need to get these guys back to re-stretch."
