He was great for the whole experience, including helping us with other things coming up like our kitchen sink deciding to leak in the middle of the remodel. Our experience was so good during the remodel that we got his contact info for all future plumbing work. He's now helped us with a couple other small projects and is always great. Having a regular plumber for any job that might come up is such an awesome thing."

"I purchased a new shower faucet and cartridge for the repair. Donny told my wife and I to save on the new faucet and wait till we did some wall/tile repair if we were to remodel in the near future. Rather than following our first wishes he may have saved us around $400, or more by being honest and a good guy. We had the cartridge replaced for our Moen faucet. It operates very well and no drips (bad for the Cat though!). We had additional savings when we returned the faucet to Menards. The cartridge was about $36-$39. We have used Randy Lane several times (maybe 5-7 times) and were quite satisfied. They have been our plumber of choice for several years. This was our first plumbing work completed by Donny. "I brought in several of the highest rated plumbers on Angie's list for bids so I knew they would all do quality work.   I then went with the lowest bid, which was Burkhardt by a landslide.  The bid I received from them was less than half of what the other top rated plumbers bid. 
They only have a few employees and they had one guy do all of the construction work at my house.  My project took 4 days which included breaking up the floor, running drain and vent pipe, running water pipe, and recementing the floor.
I was very impressed with the work.  When he came to the house I went over how I wanted everything done and he did everything exactly how I explained it.  I also made some additions to the scope of the project after he started and he took care of them with a "can do" attitude.  I needed him to reroute some existing water pipe and to install a shut off valve.  He also left my basement spotless when he was done with no reminents of all the cement and sand that was on the basement floor during construction.  I would hire Burkhardt Plumbing again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone that is looking for quality plumbing work done at a fair price.

"Jim is a one man shop. He is a nice guy and truly wants to do the best job he can, however I caught him in a stressful time of his company.  He received many jobs from his Angie's List offer causing him to work around the clock. This contributed to miscommunication between the both of us on schedule availability as well as long delays in his response to my emails.
Once we got our schedule's together Jim showed up on time and ready to work.   He listened to my needs, asked questions and explained what he was going to do.  Part of the water line install included his need to drill through the floor to feed the copper line to a water pipe in my utility room one floor down.  Unfortunately, Jim started to drill and found he drilled through a bathroom ventilation vent pipe running beneath the sub-floor of my kitchen.  Upon discovering his mistake, he quickly alerted me and discussed options available to repair the damage.
 Upon repair of the ventilation pipe, Jim continued to install the ice maker water line without any further problem.  When all was finished, Jim expressed his apologies for the damaged pipe and promised if I thought additional work was needed on the repair  I was to contact him without hesitation.
Jim completed the work asked of him, answered questions I had concerning other plumbing issues I had in the house and cleaned up after himself.  Again he's a nice guy but needs office help to run his company more effectively.

My first request for a proposal included a request that the project be completed in less than 3 weeks..Despite the schedule he had,Sam assured me he could do it. ( my wife was being discharged from the TCU ). 

He started the project 2 weeks before her coming home and finished it in 1 day, He came when he said he would, accomplished the project, and Left MY garage floor cleaner than before he started.

He and his helper were kind and respectful. Except for the power tools, you hardly knew they were there.
