"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"Best Renovation Ever ARMS Home Improvement worked on 3 projects at my home-- Master Bathroom-- Guest Bathroom-- Electrical Panel Upgrade This company is honest, professional, helpful, and is able to hear what you want in your renovation and also add features that complement the design.  What I loved about working with them was the network of craftsmen/ craftswomen that they bring to the job, from the tile, cabinets, mirrors.  I was particularly impressed that when they worked on the accent tile, they brought in a specialist for 1 day to make sure the cuts were coordinated with the pattern.  They suggested lighting that I wouldn't have included, from their extensive experience in bathroom renovations.  I wasn't sure that the extra lights were needed, but they made a big difference in the finished bathrooms.  They also suggested moving a vent from the floor to under a cabinet, small things that make a world of difference, that I would not have thought of.  Finally, the made sure that the foundation, pipes, floor, etc was sound. The owner, Allen Metcalf, is someone that you want to know and wish he was your neighbor.  I was out of town and I needed assistance on a weekend and he stepped in to fix things.  Total lifesaver. I have two more projects planned for the future and ARMS Home Improvement is the company that I want to work with. "

"I highly recommend City Renovations and Remodeling to new and experienced homeowners and investors. In fact, Mike Wiggs, owner of the company, was highly recommended to me from a trusted source. Mike has been my designer, general contractor and project manager for over three years. He and his team of subcontractors for all the trades and handymen have successfully completed numerous projects for me. The internal big jobs included Mike and his team remodeling my basement into a permitted apartment with an egress window, injection well system, and recessed lighting; remodeling my kitchen into a larger space, better layout and upgraded appliances, cabinets, backsplashes (e.g., switching from an electric cooktop island to a slide-in gas range and installing a peninsula); changing the location of the sliding door and a set of windows in my sunroom for better flow and sightline from the front door entry to the patio door leading to my wooded backyard; replacing the damaged one of the two HVAC systems (i.e., one for the first floor and basement and the other for the second floor); and whole house interior painting and decorative touches (accent walls, trim, etc.) The external big jobs included Mike and his team resolving the sources of severe water damage to my two-story front door entry area and installing a new door, side lites and stoop. He resolved other water problems at my house by installing upgraded, larger gutters connecting to a new underground drainage system, and re-grading a section of the backyard next to my house in order to better collect water coming onto the house and move it away from the house. The other jobs Mike and his team completed include installing decorative lighting in the front of my house and security lighting at the sides and back; installing and repairing wooden privacy fencing in my backyard; washing away years of mold, mildew and stains from the siding of my house; and installing shelving for two closets and the laundry room to increase my storage space. After years of City Renovations and Remodeling successfully improving or repairing my home, I hired the company to help me with an investment rental property. Mike completed a walk-thru assessment and report to supplement the information from the home inspector and appraiser. Through my pre-purchase consultation with Mike, I got a good idea of what it would take improve the property given my goals and budget. "Devin Nasvaderani and his crew at Marvel Homes transformed a 1950s-era galley kitchen into an inviting and open kitchen/dining room. The project had many parts and space was limited, but it was finished on time and on budget thanks to the crew's competence, creativity and attention to detail. Devin managed to conceal a waste water pipe against a wall with some judicious cutting of a cabinet and tweaking of the tile back splash, he turned a living room closet on the other side of a kitchen wall into a pantry, and rerouted air vents that had  been inside the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room. He worked with vendors including Cabinet Discounters, ABW appliances, Mosaic Tile and ABKA Marble & Granite to ensure the project stayed on track. And he dealt swiftly with glitches, replacing a dinged sink and a scratched drawer front.. A job well done."

"We asked Willis Builders to remodel our two bathrooms after they did a great job helping deal with water intrusion (upgrading to wider gutters, rearranging downspouts, installing a sump pump). Both jobs were overseen by Leo, who did great work and was extremely helpful when we discovered we'd forgotten something or didn't have enough of XYZ because the pandemic slowed shipping down. I would gladly hire them again!"

"We used BlackStone Kitchen and Bath for an inside alteration project involving removing a couple of walls to turn three smaller rooms into a single living space. The project included installing new electrics, boxing hvac ducting, replacing the dry wall in one of the areas and installing new crown molding, chair-rail and skirting throughout to create a consistent look for the new space from the previous individual rooms. Project took five days and the team worked long days to ensure completion. Both the team leader (Walter) and Project Manager (Justin) were continually attentive to the details of the project and keen to ensure we were happy with the work as it was progressing and, of course, on completion. We are totally satisfied with the work done and the value-for-money in terms of both time and cost. We had been extremely selective on the look and feel of the countertop, backsplash and floor tile and cabinet that would go with our stainless steel appliances that we recently purchased. We found United Cabinet Store through our neighbor whom got her kitchen and bath remodeled last year by United. We went to their showroom and met with Alex Gumus. He helped us walk through the options and he very quickly demonstrated everything about kitchen remodeling. We were working with a designer specialist and she collaboratively worked with us designing the kitchen I always wanted and now our kitchen got an awesome look. The advantage is that she works in collaboration with him to move the product and solve any issues if they arise. It was an amazing experience! We are perfectionists and couldn't be more satisfied with our experience with them!

"Note this review is for removing carpet and replacing with corelux floors in about 400 sq feet and recaulking and reglazing 2 bathrooms. Very professional and understanding of my budget needs. Juan was super patient with me; I modified the quote request about 10 times. His crew was kind, careful with clean up and ensuring they had drop cloths over as many areas as possible and always took their shoes off if walking on uncovered floor. They stuck to the timeline and budget. Couldnâ t be happier!"
