"MJ Home Service saved the day. I  mean night. The outside water faucet cracked and water slowly came back into the houses bring a good deal of mud with it. I called MJ home services around 7 pm and they promptly responded and had a team here within the hour. . They did everything right and more. Melissa explained the process and answered all my questions.  She was very responsive and kept me informed of arrival and how the process would work.. The crew (Brian and Ned) were very processional and kept me informed of every step of the process. They took over the situation and took care of everything needed. They removed  water, mud and all water soaked  items like cardboard boxes . They stacked everything up neatly in one area., cut out damaged drywall, and sprayed to prevent  mold. The set up  fans, so that the basement and rolled up carpeting would dry. They did everything necessary to make sure we were taken care of, even set up our humidifier. Their price was exceptionally reasonable. I have dealt with Servpro, I would have paid twice or more and  had to deal with sales pitches for additional services. "Excellent! Hugh called before arriving so we knew when to expect him and he arrived right on time. We walked through the house to discuss what needed to be done. He put tarps down on our porch and wood floors to protect them while he cleaned the carpets in our whole house. He left us plastic shoe covers to wear until the carpets were dry so we could walk on them without making them dirty. The carpets look great!!"

"The biggest problem I had with this company was responsiveness before the work was done. After calling them to use the coupon, it took a while to get them to my house to do an estimate. Then it took over a week to actually get the estimate so I could schedule the work. And then two weeks to get on the schedule.
With that said, the person they sent did a FANTASTIC job. I had a section of rotted wood above my entry door and it had been a problem area for years apparently. The last time I had to have the wood replaced the previous owners had not told me about termite damage behind this section. Anyway, this time around the service person said that we would fix it right.
He scraped out all of the damaged wood and replaced the damaged section with a PVC-based solution so I'll never have to worry about it rotting again. All I have to do is keep it painted and caulked.
I'm VERY happy. It looks great. He was very pleasant, friendly, professional. He explained everything to me and he worked until he finished.
The likelihood that the 3 hours included in the coupon will cover your work when there is rot involved --it took 6 hours and the materials cost $160.00. With that said, it could've ended up costing a lot more so I definitely recommend taking advantage of the coupon deal if they offer it again.

"We arrived home from put two week long vacation in horror. Our master bathroom toilet leaked down causing the kitchen ceiling to cave in. The water leaked all the way down through the kitchen to the basement. We jumped online and found the closest flood repair teams. Flood Doctors arrived in under and hour and began work that very night, exaplinging to us that if left Untreated mold was sure to grow. The entire kitchen was redone, including granite counters and custom cabinetry + tiles. The entire process took about two and a half weeks. We are very satisfied with the level of customer service and expertise. Will hire again the the future."

Due to a minor water leak a section of drywall about 8' x 2' had been cut out. The trim in this area and on the other side of the hall plus a closet had to be placed as well. The drywall and trim had been removed due to a small amount of mold from the water leak.  I called George's painting due to all the great reviews here on Angie's list.  I received an estimate on this work and in addition I asked for an estimate on some painting.  I thought the estimate was very fair. George was extremely professional and even came to look at what the job entailed late on a Friday evening as he was returning from other jobs on his way back to his office. This was absolutely fine with me as I had no plans to go anywhere.  George sent my estimate first thing Monday morning.

In the end I used George's only for the drywall and trim work. The job was easily scheduled and the 2 man crew did an outstanding job. I couldn't even tell there had been any damage. The trim work was outstanding as well with nice miter cuts. It lined up well with the existing molding where the miter cuts met.  It only took them approximately 4 hours to do the job.  I plan to call George's in the future for outside painting of my house.
