"Very well. Rome was very knowledgeable and experienced at the work. I believe helped to train me about my concrete needs and make good decisions on our needs. His work schedule is short. They started work the next week. They showed up on time and finished my driveway prep-and pour in less than 2 days. The crew is friendly and efficient. They put the removed driveway gravel on other low spots of our approach road with no extra charge. They only do work directly for customers so maintain schedule flexibility by not being a subcontractor. I recommend them and would rehire them. L. Stine"

Small jobs welcome

"John, Nicole and Ross Family concrete company's integrity, work ethic, pride and customer service is beyond reproach. I was absolutely elated by the dynamic team who demo'd and renewed my drive way and front entranceway steps in less than two days. Several neighbors have stopped me to ask who completed the job and how beautiful the results; I'm so proud to walk out my front door. Nicole even hooked me up with contact with metal works for wrought iron railing install at the new front steps. I STILL HAVE MONEY LEFT in my checking account! Woop! Woop! Gosh these people are amazing! I appreciate the Ross Family!"

"Island Concrete was extremely professional and wonderful to work with. We had them install a long curving driveway and a beautiful fence. Their attention to detail was so appreciated. Their artistry is wonderful. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards. We will definitely hire them again. Thank you Island Concrete! Malo 'Aupito!"

"Doug was always on top of the communication and always informed me of when they would be out to work on the project. Fred and the crew were amazing and did top quality work. You can really see the difference between average concrete jobs and the L.J. Miller crew. They know what they're doing and it shows."

"They were excellent. They were professional, on time and polite. We previously hired a contractor and did a lot of damage in our property. Panda construction and Jake was super helpful and fixed all the damages that the previous contractor did. Panda Construction was phenomenal. They were very competitive and they're the best contractor I've work with."

"I don't like to write bad reviews and was hesitant to write this one, but every time it rains (often) and I need to brush away the many puddles on my fairly new concrete pad, I'm annoyed. Eti came in with the lowest quote and combined with his favorable reviews I decided to move forward. The job ended up being more than Eti estimated, and I was asked to provide more money on two separate occasions, making his quote now more expensive than some others I got. In addition, the Bobcat he used completely obliterated my front lawn. I ended up having to resod the lawn and while I attempted to even out the ground, it is still bumpy and am reminded of that every time I mow my lawn. I contacted Eti via text to fix the puddles, and he came back once to check it out and he was going to try fix it, though it would be through an epoxy that would be off-color from the rest of the cement pad. I coordinated time for Eti to come back and he never came and I grew tired of contacting him to come fix it. Overall he was a nice guy, and if the pad didn't have puddles and my front lawn wasn't destroyed, I'd be ok with paying the extra money, but ultimately the results were not good."

"

Very pleased with the service and results. Bill and his crew were very easy to work with. The quote he gave for the stamped and stained driveway was the same as I got from a competitor for a simple poured concrete driveway. Bill kept me up to date on each stage of the process and when work could be completed weather permitting. The work was completed when and as agreed. He even hauled away some of my extra garbage and branches from other projects I was working on.

We chose the pattern for the stamping and the colors for the stain. He says the stain is good for abut 5 years and would cost about $500 to redo.

"I was required by the city of Tacoma to do a Type 2 ADA driveway and a handicap ramp to my business. I had to get it done before I could open. The problem, although it was a huge job for me, it was too small for the big concrete companies. So the big guys knew how to do it but didn't want to and the rest didn't how. One of my last calls was to Steve at Bay Concrete. I asked him if they knew how to do the job, he said yes but they were very busy. I told him I was desperate. I could not open my business without this driveway and no one would or could do it in the next six months. He said he would come and look at it and then said he would do it in the next 10 days. He did it about a week later. It looked great and was passed with the inspector. Finally, I could open my business, a doggie day care.
I did not ask the price, he had me over a barrel and could charge me anything he wanted to. But he didn't. He gave me a  price half of some of the bids that would not even do it for six months. Very Honest Man. I would never hesitate to use him. Tom

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Belfair, WA

Whether terrazzo is better than porcelain or ceramic tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor depends on your design preference. Terrazzo can last a long time, but so can a properly installed ceramic tile floor. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the lifespan of a ceramic tile floor is 75 to 100 years, similar to terrazzo.

You should clean terrazzo floors like you would marble, even if there’s no marble in the aggregate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface, and steer clear of acidic cleaners like vinegar, which can damage the surface. Instead, use plain water or a neutral cleaner to mop the floor. Then, use a wet vac or squeegee to remove the dirty water. Regular buffing with a soft cloth can help you maintain the shine.

Terrazzo is made by mixing an aggregate like glass or stone with a binder like cement or epoxy. The mix is made and poured into the prepared space you designate. Alternatively, you can purchase prefabricated terrazzo tiles, which consist of similar materials. They’re poured into a mold and cured before installation.

You can add radiant heating under a terrazzo floor, which is an excellent way to combat the naturally cold surface of terrazzo floors. Installing radiant heating costs $1,653 to $6,656. You'll want to install the heating elements under the thin-set epoxy because the layer is thin enough for the warmth to conduct through the floor.

Making your own terrazzo can be a tricky DIY project. The exact mix takes a blend of art and skill to create and requires the expertise of a terrazzo pro. The wrong blend could crack, peel, or break easily, requiring expensive repairs. Finishing and polishing the floor also requires previous experience to achieve a professional appearance. Expect to pay between $200 and $2,500 for the cost of restoring and polishing floors.

Terrazzo flooring is eco-friendly because it is crafted using recycled materials such as glass, marble, and polished metal, and its epoxy binder emits no VOCs once cured. This sustainable manufacturing approach minimizes waste and supports green building practices. Homeowners gain an attractive flooring option, contributing to healthier indoor air quality and environmental conservation.
