"We have a large Dutch Colonial in North Tacoma that looks like a barn and is over 100 years old. The porch was enclosed in the 1930's to enlarge the living room. The old brick foundation in the front had slowly settled over time resulting in sloped floors, not the safest foundation in the event of an earthquake. Lee Mattingly from Robbins came to our house and got into our crawl space. Lee was very thorough inspecting the space inside and out. Because our situation was somewhat unusual, Lee encouraged us to get a 3rd party engineering report. We opted to stay with the engineers at Robbins. Lee came back to us with 3 options in different price ranges from $9000 for beams to $100K for a new foundation that would have added square footage to our basement. He explained every option thoroughly. We opted for helical piers because of their added safety in the event of an earthquake. Jorge and his team showed up on time the scheduled day to work. They were super professional and very kind. They were also incredibly neat. The work was done in a week, then the concrete cured and they came out 1 more day to finish installing the piers. The space was left cleaner than how they found it! (seriously - the swept up in the basement and the crawl space looked much cleaner) NOTE: I thought we'd have to move things out of our living room while they did the foundation. But...no, you don't have to move anything when they do this kind of work. Now we have a much safer home and the floors, while not perfectly even, are much better! We had an excellent experience. I recommend Robbins highly and Lee Mattingly especially. He is good at explaining things, patient with questions and answered my calls & messages very quickly."

"When we decided to replace the sidewalk and wheelchair ramp that had been botched by another indiviual company we called around to different companies and those we liked to talk to, had them come out to give us bids. Lew at Concrete Etc. was the fastest in response, he came out and gave the estimate the same day we called. the other two took 2-5 days to show up. Concrete Etc was in between the other two on bid but we liked Lew and felt he was probably the most honest of the three. He was professional in everyway but took the time to explain what needed to happen and how long it would take. He took the time to be personable and be genuinely interested in what we wanted to accomplish. He told us we wouldn't have to pay a cent until they were completely finished with the job and we were satisfied with the job they had done. I liked that. They showed up on the date he told us they would be here. They showed up on time and was working immediately. They worked fast, professionally and I was very impressed with the knowledge all these guys had and the sense of humor they had even though the day was overcast and very cold. Sometimes the rain would force them for cover. They continued to work through it all, saw humor in a lot of things that perhaps others wouldn't have found that humor. Robert and Henry were the two workers that did a fantastic job. They removed the old cement, brought in gravel for the drive way that wasn't to have cement on it. They had everything done in a timely manner and a huge amount of knowledge. The ramp is about as perfect a ramp as I have seen when it comes to the proper bevel. the walkway is beveled and the driveway slab has a good slant on it that carries the water away from the house as it should. Overall? I'd say fantastic! If I need more cement work done, I know who I'll be calling. Thanks you guys. Larry"
