"Dan and his team did the most comprehensive inspection that I have ever experienced, and I could not be happier. Having purchased several homes over the years, I can think of at least three instances when supposedly excellent and experienced inspectors missed issues that later resulted in five-digit mitigations or repairs. So I am wary when hiring an inspector. However, I am confident that, if Dan’s team couldn’t find the issue, then it just can’t be found. Furthermore, Dan is incredibly personable, patient, and kind. He is generous with his time and willing to take the time to answer questions and discuss his findings. This level of care and attention is increasingly rare. I can recommend Dan and his team wholeheartedly, and without reservations. You will probably pay more for an inspection by All American but you can be confident that you won’t be paying three times more later to fix a problem that should have been addressed before the sale."

"I was having some allergy issues in our house. Thinking there may be some possible hidden mold in our house, I contacted Duke Restoration. Troy David came over to search the house. He was very thorough, friendly, and helpful doing a complete survey of the house. Not finding any mold, he asked about the filter we had for our air condition and heating system. He suggested that we needed an ultraviolet light. When we told him that we had one in the attic, he went up to check. He found that it had burned out. When he changed it, my allergy issues were much better. He knew exactly how to fix our problem. We were very pleased! "

"Brooks Quality Painting & Contracting exceeded our expectations! We had everything painted on our exterior from top to bottom, so we had gotten quite a few quotes, David was by far the most knowledgable and professional! He and his team are extremely detailed oriented and communicative, which was very important to us! We knew every detail along the way, David took into consideration all of our expectations and made it happen better than we imagined! On day 1 of painting, our neighbors were coming over to tell us how beautiful it looked and asking for David’s business cards! We will always recommend and use Brooks for any of our painting needs! -Jen & Rich P.S. - After the project, they left the house even cleaner than it was before!!"

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WE SPECIALIZE IN INSURANCE RECOVERY <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< We are LA State Licensed General Contractors (both residential & commercial) as well as a design/build consultant firm. What this means for our customers is that the LA State Licensing Board of Contractors (LASLBC) has done the regulation leg work that every home/business owner should do but sometimes simply over looks or just doesn’t know what questions to ask a contractor. The LASLBC regulates those of us with licenses by making us place them as certificate holders of our insurance. All certificate holders are sent notices when a company is late on a payment or is dropped by their insurance carrier. If we are dropped, we lose our license. The LASLBC requires we attend so many hours of pre-approved/certified continuing education every year along with our annual license renewal. Failure to comply with these strict guidelines results in rejection of the applicant’s license renewal. The LASLBC also checks references before issuing a license. Please feel free to call the LASLBC in Baton Rouge and ask about our standing in any of the above areas. They can be reached at 225.765.2301 or on line at http://www.lslbc.louisiana.gov/ Gandolfi & Associates, Inc. license are as follows: Louisiana State Contractors Residential License # 86119 Louisiana State Contractors Commercial License # 40728 The largest and most influential trade organization in the building industry, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has worked for nearly 50 years to strengthen the professionalism of its members. "Excellent. The 100-year old home consists of an upper unit and a lower unit. Each unit has its own challenges. Buddy did the inspection and we were very pleased with his thoroughness and attention to detail. He is very easy to work with and has a great deal of knowledge about the quirks of older homes. We learned a lot about the house from him. Highest recommendation."

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Belle Chasse, LA

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
