"I live in a house built in 1912. When we bought it, the wrought iron fence was rusting, and the back staircase and 3rd floor were in poor condition with old wiring protruding from the walls, paint chipping off the walls and ceiling, and dry and cracking wood doors and built-in cabinets. On the recommendation of a neighbor who called DH Painting one of the best painters in town, I hired them initially to "re-paint" the staircase and 3rd floor. But they did so much more than that and wow it was good! They chipped, sanded, mudded and spackled. They replaced some of the crown moulding that badly needed it, and varnished the built-in cabinets. The difference was like night and day. David has been painting for his whole career (?30+ years) and he brings a ton of expertise to the table. He was great about explaining what he was doing every step of the way, and why each step was necessary to get the best finished product that would last the longest time and would make it the easiest for future painters to touch up. Regarding the wrought iron fence, I was impressed with their work ethic (this was done in the middle of summer in Kansas City) and their meticulousness. Now, my fence looks pretty much as good as an older wrought iron fence can look. Big picture - if you want excellent workmanship and a beautiful finished product, then I highly recommend DH Painting. I will certainly be hiring them in the future as we continue to repaint our house."

"Hired this person because of his Angie rating and reviews. Was very specific about NOT SUBCONTRACTING THE JOB. I was told specifically he would do the job himself . Jason was dishonest and subcontracted the job to two illegals non English speaking individual's from Colombia. They did sub rate job didn't caulk the cracks or corners and had to be called back to repair many paint issues and apply the hardware back on. They sprayed the cabinet's in my garage and got paint on the floor everywhere!! My brand new kitchen floor of 3 weeks old has a lot paint sprayed on it they did not protect the floor as they should of. My new stove has paint of the top dripped and dried on it....The entire job list also included some tile work and applying thresholds which was part of the original contract still isn't finished and Jason has had 11 scheduled appts to complete the job 5 of these were NO call no shows. All documented on my texts and emails. I cant recommend this person . Don hire him."
