Here at L & R Installations, Inc we know what custom means to you. Let us show what your home can really look like and put a lasting impression on you and your home!
"We consulted with David R on potentially just installing a shower/tub enclosure we had purchased at Costco and he saved us from a disaster in the making. We found the shower walls were not square and the overall way the door needed to be installed would have resulted in not having a very wide entrance into the shower area. Cutting to the chase we purchased a custom frameless tub/shower enclosure which had the glass cut specifically to deal with the out of square shower tile walls. The end result was beautiful and we even added the showerguard glass treatment to the glass to keep it clearer over time. Very glad we worked with David R and L&R installations. Yes, you pay a little more than a contractor grade product but avoiding the headaches and getting a product that you know works for your space is what a win/win looks like for both the homeowner and the supplier/contractor. Last, we found the install excellent, detail oriented, clean and respectful; another plus in the whole experience"

A frameless shower door is made of thick tempered glass and attached directly to the shower wall using hinges or clips (without a metal frame). This design offers a clean, modern look, making the bathroom appear larger and more open. Frameless doors are more expensive than framed ones, but they are easier to clean and have fewer hardware components where mold and mildew can grow.
Rain glass costs $125 to $200 more than clear glass. It offers benefits like hiding stains and water spots and reducing the need for frequent cleaning. The textured surface diffuses light and provides additional privacy, making it ideal for those who want brightness and discretion in their shower space
Euro-style shower doors cost between $300 and $3,300. These frameless doors feature minimal hardware and a sleek design that makes the glass appear almost invisible. While more expensive than other options, they are ideal for small spaces, making the room feel larger and more modern.
To measure for a new frameless shower door, you'll need to take two key measurements:
The vertical opening height along both sides of the shower entrance
The horizontal opening width at the top, middle, and bottom of the shower opening
Accurate measurements are crucial for frameless doors since they are often custom-made. Hiring a professional can help ensure precise measurements and a smooth installation.
Installing a glass block wall in your bathroom costs about $750 on average, with a range between $550 and $1,300. In addition to being durable and low-maintenance, glass walls are an economical way to allow natural light into your bathroom without sacrificing privacy.
Shower door glass should be at least 3/8 inch thick to ensure safety and durability. Thicker glass, such as 1/2 inch, is often used for frameless shower doors to provide additional stability without the support of a frame. Using glass thinner than 3/8 inch increases the risk of shattering if the door is closed forcefully or impacted. Choosing the appropriate thickness ensures a sturdy and long-lasting shower door.
