"We did a bathroom remodel with Brawny Builders. It went great. Bronson and his hard working crew arrived promptly each day and did all the work as promised and always cleaned up their mess. They tore out our old shower and closet and replaced it with a large ceramic shower and a new floor. The bathroom is beautiful and we love it. We would not hesitate to hire them again and would very much recommend them."

"First, let me start off by saying that I am not the easiest person in the world to work with and offer a big thank you to Mark Spencer for sticking with me throughout this process.  The windows in our house were in such a state of disrepair that they absolutely had to be replaced.  We wrestled with options and finally decided to go the vinyl window route and consulted Angie's List for recommendations which is how we found Legacy and Mark.  We had several companies give estimates on replacement but Mark was head and shoulders above everyone else in his presentation.  I sincerely believe that Mark Spencer cares about what is best for a homeowner when it comes to making that big investment in their home.  Whether it is windows, remodeling, painting, or whatever else needs to be done, Mark wants the homeowner to be comfortable in their decision.  Sometimes that decision might take a while, as it did with me, but Mark gives you the time to come to that decision with absolutely no pressure.

I wanted to make sure that I was not going to lose a significant amount of glass space when I replaced my windows and I also wanted to retain some semblance of a custom appearance with a vinyl window.  Mark spent extra time in measuring my windows and even made a call to the manufacturer to determine the actual glass width on the windows.  We then talked about retaining a wood jamb around the windows which, in my opinion, sets them apart from a typical vinyl installation.  Mark then made a suggestion on the exterior wrap for the windows which simulates a brick mould appearance.  He even found a flexible wood product for the trim around our arch window. We couldn't have been happier with the end result.  The windows look fantastic!

Installation was superior as well, with Mark's brother-in-law James leading the crew and providing superior workmanship.  They were all very courteous and worked quickly to get the job done in one day.  They were very neat and did a spotless clean up at the end of the day.  The only hitch was that one window came in with the wrong measurement (the factory transposed the numbers) and had to be reordered.  I could tell that Mark and James really do care about the homeowner as they both expressed regret about the window as it was the one that needed to be replaced the most.  Mark reordered the window and James came out on a Saturday to do the installation.

I guess that my hesitance in getting this whole process rolling was the old saying that if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is.  I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never did.  Mark Spencer and Legacy Windows is the real deal.  He provided a superior price, superior service, and a superior experience.  I could go on and on about how happy we are with the job that Mark did with our window installation.  If you are in need of new windows, call Mark Spencer at Legacy.  You will not be disappointed."

"This service was exactly what I was looking for.  I wasn't confident about choosing the new look for my living room.  I wasn't sure what my "style" was, and what would look good together.  I needed a consultant to let me know if the items I was considering would look good together.  Amanda called me and we talked about what I liked/didnt like.  She had me post pictures from Pinterest and Houzz of rooms I liked.  From that she was able to tell me what my style was.  She noticed things I never realized before.  For example I apparently picked the exact style couch in every picture I posted.  As I found furniture I liked I would send her photos and she would let me know if she thought they would go good together.  For example she recomended a different coffee table - i needed one that was more substantial to balance the size of the sofa.  She also helped me fine-tune the paint colors for my walls - I thought this was the hardest part of designing the room, but I love the results.
I was basically looking for someone to guide my choices, but they will also modify their level of service depending on what you need (cost varies depending on service needed).
I would positively use them again!!

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Benton Harbor, MI

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
