""Be" was exactly what I needed.  She spent the time to go through the current kitchen in detail/offering ideas/next steps a long the way. Since this is my first major renovation, I had a lot of questions - even around what a reasonable budget was for what I want to do.  "Be" started out explaining options, what would be the least expensive options, what I could do if I wanted to spend a little more, what the overall budget for labor would be.  Obviously all this is an approximation, but it let me get a lot further in planning than I was before without reaching out to contractors just yet.
The purpose of this trip was discussions only - give me ideas, etc.  In order to go forward with a full design, I would need to sign up for a package deal where Be would provide me with designs, a couple visits during construction etc.  Given the initial visit, it is very likely I will end up purchasing the package.

"     In order to complete to layout design I submitted a drawing of the room as well as a series of photos.  The website for Homemade design has a questionaire what helps define your overall tastes in design.  I joined Pinterest and started boards for furniture, lighting, bookshelves which were reviewed.  Homemade design comes to New York periodically to meet with clients not in the Boston area and this gave us a chance to meet and select furniture and upholstery at the New York Design center.  This is an extra charge but well worth it since I was completely overwhelmed.  They were extremely patient and guided me through the process.  At one point I decided to move the television which turned out to be a bad idea -- they explained why it would not worked and I concurred competely after I understood the reasons.  So, they are not afraid to tell you if you going down the wrong road. I live in a New York City townhouse and forget that I do not have a whol lot of space even though my house is huge for NYC. So, I had to be told how to "scale" everything to the space we had to work with, which was helpful
I purchased the service several months ago but was not ready to actually decide on the actual purchases until recently. So, the delay in completion is because of my schedule.  I now hope to finish everything by September.

The kitchen was completely gutted and yet all was done in exactly the amount of time promised. The workmen were very professional and were concentrating on their work the whole time.

They brought in their own plumber and electrician. No headaches looking for someone on your own. . We are very happy with the results. I just love going into my new kitchen and just looking at it.

"Brandt was extremely professional and communicated regularly over email as we coordinated a replacement front door ordering and associated logistics. He arrived when he said he would, gave a quote a few days as agreed, and the work was done well. The pricing seemed reasonable and the quality was good. With our garbage disposal, we did have an issue where one of Brandt's assistants missed a step to allow our dishwasher to drain to the garbage disposal. When I followed up about it, he promptly sent his assistant to fix it at no charge. It was a simple issue, but I was impressed that he stands behind his work. I will likely work with him again in the future and have already recommended him to a friend."
