"Splendidly! The work took 3 weeks from the first day, which is exactly how long he estimated. I cannot praise Nato Vargas and his crew enough. They were here working everyday, without fail from 8am to 5pm. At the end of each day they carefully closed the gates and left the place clean and organized. Nato Vargas was always available - every time I needed to talk to him he answered his phone immediately. On more than one occasion my husband and I changed our minds about various things in the plans and Nato was extremely positive and willing to do exactly what we wanted and offered his suggestions for the design as well. He was more than fair when negotiating prices. I have never had a more pleasant experience with a project of this proportion. I don't think I've ever seen a job go as well. The owner, Lee, along with his crew member Manuel, impress me in so many ways. When Lee first bid the job, he had lots of great ideas not just about the overall design and work, but also ways to save me money. He did not take a deposit up front, and only a small one when the job started. From there he billed based on the completed portion of the job and never came back for more money when complications came out of the blue for him. About the schedule, Lee said they would be there every day until the job was done, and he was right. They arrived on time daily and never left a mess. It is said that any construction process is painful for the owner, but that if a job is well done the pain quickly fades. With Highland landscaping, there is no pain in the first place.
