"<p>the leak was a drip at an elbow on the softener cold water feed. it had dripped a long time as it didn't show until the sheetrock was</p> saturated and mold started. I opened the ceiling and the wall and located how for it had run giving me a good look at the zigzag <br /> <br />placement of the water line when the softener was installed. The provider readily agreed to clean that up with the cost of a foot or two of pipe. I am completely happy <br />"

"<p>My basement was an absolute disaster! I called Sweet's & they responded right away staying till around 2:30 am to make sure everything had been cleaned up & disinfected. After about a week of running fans to dry everything out, they did the restoration work in my basement which took about a week or so to complete. They told me that I could go to Lowe's & pick out new fixtures, doors, etc. The restoration work turned out nice, although the quality of the materials used were less expensive than the original building materials. (My house was built in the 1960s, so it had natural pine doors & wood moldings that were replaced with MDF.)</p> <p>Then, I got the bill! Yes, it was costly but Richard at Sweet's negotiated with the insurance adjuster and after 9 months my insurance company finally paid.</p> <p>What I most impressed with was Sweet's immediate response to an "after hours" emergency and their patience in getting paid.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"This is the second time we have called them. the first time they just put a tube from the water softener back into it's drain pipe. they did not even charge for it. (One of them is friends with my brother). <br /> This time we had no drains in the house. turned out that there was a clog between the house and street which made it necessary to dig up the pipe between the house and street and replace the pipe, unfortunately a very large, expensive repair. They got the work done very quickly with the least possible damage to the front yard. Most other contractors would have been much less careful digging up the pipe and made much more of a mess. Many others would have forced her to replace the sewer pipe all the way to the main sewer line in the middle of the street, making it a much bigger, more expensive job. <br /> This was not an inexpensive repair, but it was necessary. My mother could have been taken advantage of by making the job bigger than it needed to be or dragging it out. Most would not have done the job as neatly as it was done. <br /> Kudos to these guys. I hope they get all the work they want. <br />"

"They were professional, and diagnosed the problem well. But on an after hours service call they took 2 hours show up because the technician was in class -. to be fair they called back and told us there would be a delay. The problem was they have you in a bad situation and take advantage of it. Not only do they charge an extra $80 for the evening service call ( which we expected) but on top of that their repair rates were almost double after hours, - again to be fair we were told the repair cost but only after the $129 service fee.. So we paid almost $500 to have a kitchen sink drain snaked out. When the technician finished he told me that it was working but went on to explain it would only likely work for a little while. He did explain what else he would do. Wow! If I wanted a repair that came with any warranty of their work it was over $1,000. Seems like a lot just to snake a drain. Being reasonable, this was an after hours call, the company was up front about the higher initial service fee,p ($129 vs $49), but made no mention that on top of that repair costs were almost double until after we'd spent the $129. They seem competent and were nice enough but the way they handle billing they not only gouge you after hours but come across as sleazy by not being up front about fees."
