"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"Excellent. Fineline did all but one repair, and that one was due to not having replacement parts. They were also creative in a good way about fixing the seemingly unfixable."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

Payment was only requested after the job was done and I told them I was happy with the result. There were no hidden charges or BS. I wrote the check out for the exact amount on the estimate. Roger and his crew did a great job on both our kitchen and bathroom remodels.  He was very responsive to my questions/ requests.  I felt that we had a good working relationship throughout the whole process.  He was easy to contact and returned calls/texts in a timely manner.  The people that worked in our house were professional and did top quality work. When we had issues with work, we did not think looked its best or did not work properly, he came in a fixed them.  It has been two months since our remodel was completed and I couldn't be happier.  I love my new kitchen and bathroom.  They are both exactly what I envisioned them to be and I appreciate that it was completed in the timeline that was outlined at the beginning of the project.  I would highly recommend Roger Allen and Associates.

"Bringing a 1910 home up to todays standards, restoring floors trim walls bathrooms. Some plumbing and electrical (legal without those licenses). Of course this includes painting, fixing holes left by radiator system in floors and ceilings. Entirely rebuilt deck. Also added on a sunroom with about 20 windows and exterior door. Worked well with other contractors (plumbing and electric)."
