"So happy our small neighborhood hired SCC to asphalt our road!! We've been spending around $4000 every year to maintain the gravel, which was such a waste of money, and such a headache! Now that we have asphalt the maintenance will only be every 3-5 years! Super happy with the now smooth drive. Clint, and his crew were professional and so helpful. Highly recommend!!"

"P.K. Masonry arrived at my home on three different days on time, ready and willing to start the work. I was impressed how carefully he measured and drew out the plans for the fireplace. On my fireplace install PK was always concerned with what I was asking for, and listened to what I had to say. We didn't always agree, but he showed great patience dealing with me who knows nothing about what it takes to build a fireplace. I love my new fireplace that he built and will enjoy owning it for years to come. I definitely would hire PK again and have a job for him, planned for the future."

"Started on Monday with bringing in the needed gravel and driveway fill to get it level and true, rolled it tight. level and hard with their packing roller. Came out the next day and put down the asphalt, again smoothing and packing with roller. My driveway is at almost a 45 degree angle but they managed it without any problems and I would  recommend them to anyone in the area. <br /> <br />"

"They are actually a national firm.  I spent between $8000 and $10000.  They did the complete tear down and reshingle in one day.  They had 10 guys working here.  They worked hard.  They did it quickly.  There wasn't any inconvenience at all.  They got up there and did the work.  I don't know anybody else who does it in one day with the size of the roof that we have.  We've got a 4000 sqft house.  I was happy."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Blairsville, GA

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
