After a very bad experience with another contractor who "stated he knew how to refinish wood floors", we had to contact Jose to come in and start the whole process over. "Out of all the companies I requested a quote from on Angie's list, this is the only company that responded to my request. The contractor arrived on time and took a look at my floor. He told me that it would be hard to find replacement planks because the floor was so old but he would try. I then asked him if he couldn't find replacement could he just move the damaged planks to another part of the floor and he replied "we'll see". After this is basically disappeared for four days with no response on whether or not he was successful or not in finding the replacement planks. After multiple texts, he finally responds with a short message saying "product was discontinued"; yeah, very helpful. I then texted him about my previous question about moving the planks to a different area of the floor, and no response. About an hour later I called him, and he didn't pick up. About a half hour later he calls back asking if anyone called him from my number. I tell him who I was and again asked about moving the planks, this time he tells me he can't do it, because the planks will "fall apart" as soon as he removes them. This is kind of hard to believe because I was able to remove planks from another area of the floor with no problem; but whatever. He then tells me my only option is to replace the entire floor for $5000. Yeah ok; no thanks."

"Problems from the get go over paint. They wanted to upcharge for more expensive paint. The painters claimed that the color I chose did not come in Duracraft, only the Superpaint. I called Sherwin Williams and they told me otherwise. Painters were a bit messy. When they were just about finished, they surprised me with a reminder that my price was changing because they had to do two coats. I never saw them do two coats. They told me they did it real quick with the sprayer. I always thought two coats meant first coat dries, then second coat. Apparently not. It was an instant two coats. I did not pay for the second coat after a small argument between the head painter, the manager in the office, and myself. I also was not left with any extra of that paint color, and the painters were very half fast from that point on. They wouldn't even do one little spot of trim for me that didn't look right. Told me it would be extra. They left large paint scrapings from my deck all over the yard. Also, the expected language barrier didn't help either. Their is also a special on their website that states you get a free pressure wash of the driveway with a complete exterior paint. That never happened, my driveway was too big for them."
