"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

"Kevon and Doc solved a complicated chimney/fireplace issues at our home a few years ago. Our chimney had been built incorrectly and we replaced our gas insert. We couldn't have been happier to have their expertise. We have continued to use to maintain the sealed gas insert they replaced. They are knowledgeable, honest and reliable."

"Buyer beware. We bought a replacement ice maker from them in August of 2025. They had to come out a couple of weeks after to fix it again. Now the ice maker is leaking all over the inside of my freezer in January 2026, and they will not address it unless I pay a $99 service fee to even come and inspect it. Sam then explained to me that he will send a techinician out to take a look, but the service call starts at $99. So, they decide if they are responsible or not for the damage, then they decide if you need to pay the service fee. I encourage anyone that has had a bad experience with this company to post an honest review. We used to love this company, and used them many times. Sam has no customer service skills. This is why family owned small businesses are failing. All you had to do was take care of the work you performed. Paying full price for a brand new replacement item that only has a 30 day warranty is crazy."

"Every once in awhile you encounter a service business that combines the qualities of professionalism, honesty, punctuality, knowledge, and outstanding customer service--and Dave Smith Appliance is one of those businesses. We have had a few problems with our new Whirlpool refrigerator, and Dave Smith's company has addressed each of these issues with: a) quick response to email inquiries--often answered by the owner himself; b) service appointments scheduled promptly; c) skilled, well trained technicians who properly diagnoses and resolve problems. Example 1: One technician determined from his research that even though my refrigerator had been recently built, the company had already updated its control box; thus he ordered one under warranty for installation. Example 2: I emailed Dave (owner) to ask whether the cold spot in the top center of my refrigerator (which was freezing vinegar and water bottles) was expectable since the air control valve was there. Most repair shops would have said "yes" to avoid a warranty service call. However, Dave was most concerned with making sure that everything was just right, and said that he would be glad to send a technician out. In sum, I highly recommend Dave Smith Appliance Services."

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"So far so good. Thanks to Cameron for working me in on short notice. Matt and Jake did a great job installing the kitchen cabinets. They were courteous, respectful, informative and efficient. Also, very well organized. Would hire again in a minute."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."
