"Excellent work! Above and beyond. They started the work early, and they made sure to consult on our wishes every step of the way. They even added extra details that were not part of the work to be done that made the brick patio more amazing than it already was. Strongly recommend them!"

"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"Joe came out gave a quote and scheduled a date to do the repair.  His team showed up on time and Joe was also there to oversee the job.  We have blue stone steps that another landscaper did incorrectly and were becoming a hazard.  Joe explained everything and then did the job as expected.  I have used Joe in the past for other projects his company is very customer focused and we really appreciate all the work and patience he has given us."

"Rich is a true, dedicated craftsman who takes immense pride in his work. He power washed our very large bluestone patio and replaced all the sand. As he noticed some stones had sunk, he picked them up and added extra sand underneath so they were all uniform. He came when he said he would, work very diligently until the job was finished three days later. This is the second major job he has done for us and I can't wait to work with him again. Excellent!"

"I hired this business to create a patio with pavers, granite steps for the back of my property, fire pit, rock wall, and pad for a hot tub. This business is amazing. I had a couple businesses bid on this job, and Joe's Landscaping came in with the best bid, but that's not why I hired him. I hired him because he listens well, communicates well, is very dependable, very professional, and sounded ethical and well educated about his craft. I ended up having this incredible power team when I brought in Signature Pools and Spas and Deal Electric. The team just came together and jelled. The job got done without any problems any issues no delay no micromanagement required no unseen costs - nothing. Amazing - I highly recommend this professional."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Block Island, RI

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
