"The estimator was great ans walked us through the whole process.  <br /> Setting up the install was easy.   The installation <br /> was completed on time, they cleaned up everything and were very nice <br /> and professional.  However, they were subcontractors and we were not <br /> told that before hand.  We had paid the first part of the payment when <br /> we scheduled install and were told to pay the rest when they completed <br /> the job.  So we paid the lead contractor the rest of the amount.  After a <br /> month, the check had still not been cashed and when we followed up on <br /> it they stated they never received the payment.  We cancelled the check <br /> we had given them and then a day later received a phone call that the <br /> checks we had just cancelled had JUST been given to Long Fence by the <br /> contractor.  This was obviously very concerning to us since our checks <br /> had just been floating around for a month.  They asked us to pay again, <br /> which we did, and they were never able to locate it.  The payment <br /> process was horrible and the office managing the money was extrememly <br /> unprofessional.  In the end we had the check sent via certified mail and <br /> after delivered we called and told them who signed for the check and <br /> they were eventually able to find it.  The fence we have is quailty and I <br /> am sure it will hold up for years to come but I will never use them <br /> again. <br />"

"Extremely well. Right from the start JC Smith worked with me, agreed to leave the finish work to me, salvaged/reused the columns and other misc details. Walked back project costs enough so that I could finally afford getting this long overdue project done! Foreman Dave, Carpenter Dave, and all the skilled labor crew were professional, capable and a pleasure to meet and work with. Jim even loaned me his sander to get the columns looking like new! They let me know when other jobs would pull them off my job and I generally knew from day to day the status. I had a few adjustments/changes to the scope of work which they accommodated just fine. I had no complaints and was grateful to find a busy contractor willing to work to fit my tight budget."

About a year ago, I had them come out and quote some fencing for me, which they did, and I hired them, and they installed it, and I've had no problems with it at all. "I have a large red brick home I wanted to paint white, including front functional shutters and back nonfunctional ones.  The job presented many challenges.  First of all, the brick's rough texture and 60 year old brick meant that several coats had to be applied.  The entire structure first had to be power washed, then painted with a sealer.   Patrick and Michael Rafferty began the job the day after the contract was signed.  The painting began during the few warmer days in January, and continued a few weeks later after the severe cold weather had abated.  Then they ordered and replaced shutters as necessary.  Their attention to detail was very good, even removing downspouts, cleaning and painting them before replacing.  They are extremely prompt and courteous and were on the job every day without interruption until completed; they wasted NO time.   I must emphasize this was a very large, rather involved job.   I cannot attest to price because I did not get other quotes; I did this because I have used them for 20 years or more on several of of my farm outbuildings and they always did an excellent job."

"Joe Fox talked with us about our problem with drainage in the back yard, and our dissatisfaction with the present flagstone patio (it had a newer section that did not match the original). He discussed possible solutions with us, paying close attention to what we wanted. We came up with a great plan. Joe and his men rerouted a drain pipe, installed a french drain, laid a brick patio, and redid the former flagstone patio. They were very hard workers, very neat, cleaned up after themselves every day, and did fabulous and meticulous work. Plus, they were very nice guys. I especially appreciated the fact that they understood what we wanted from an artistic point of view. The work they did blended into our existing design for the back yard. We are very happy with the products used, and the attractiveness of the overall design. Joe Fox and his workers also cut our grass on a regular basis, and do a great job. <br />"

"It went very well! Larry and his men are very good at what they do. Larry was very responsive throughout the entire process.  The fence turned out beautiful and I get many many compliments on how great it turned out. Larry showed up when he said he would, was always available to answer questions.  He also provided great guidance and recommendations because I had no idea what I really wanted/needed.  I feel like they treat my property like it is there own.  I will be having Larry do more projects at farm. <br />"
