"Removed old water heater and installed new water heater and brought water heater up to code. They arrived on time and performed the work efficiently and neatly. The price for the direct vent water heater plus installation was about $250 less than another local quote. Overall I am very satisfied with the price and quality of the installation."

"Nick at Ethical Plumbing did a great job fixing our drain issues! We already had several plumbers out to our home to try to fix it but were unsuccessful. Nick fixed it AND saved us money. We will always use Ethical Plumbing from now on. Highly recommend!"

"Very impressed with this company. I scheduled a kitchen faucet installation with Jacob. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and professional. The installation went perfectly. He even cleaned up after everything was installed. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs and plan on using them again soon!"

"They have been in business for a couple of years now.  They have been always reliable and they are good guys.  I like that they do good work.  My cooling system has been running well even though it?s 22 years old.  I have a service plan with them and they come twice a year.  They check everything.  They are a great company and I have been dealing with them for the last 15 years.  They show up every year.  <br /> <br /> However, they are not the cheap."

"Travis was the technician that came to my house to perform the work. The office called me saying he would be arriving between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and that he would call when he was on the way. Sure enough he called and arrived promptly at 2 p.m. He was able to immediately discern where the leak was coming from and dug out where he needed to in order to replace the broken piece of line. He replaced the very wet mud and then replaced the sod he had removed over the disturbed area. In addition, he protected the surrounding sod from all of the mud by placing a pad on it before digging commenced. Today, one day later, one can hardly tell that the yard has been dug in that location. I'm very pleased that the leak was repaired so efficiently and quickly. <br /> On another note, Travis advised me that if I would send the paid invoice to the water company, they might reimburse for part of the past two months of increased water bill.  I emailed it to them this morning and just heard back from them that they will be making an adjustment to my next invoice.  Thank you, Travis, and thanks to Provident Plumbing for having such well trained and professional employees. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Boiling Springs, SC

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
