"The technician was doing a routine service and noticed that there was a gap/hole in one of our vents. Had he not been checking closely, it would have been missed and we’d have bug infiltration!"

"PestproX came out promptly @ 11, Jeff was the technician. Jeff was wonderful, we received exceptional customer service! Front flower bed was cleaned out (Ivy ugh)and our bushes trimmed, then Jeff put down the bug barrier and also cleaned all of the webbing off the house. The quote for the job was excellent, a fair price for the work. We recommend Jeff, PestproX llc. highly, and we will exclusively use him in the future!"

"The provider listed on angi and the listing suggests he is giving warranty, there are no any disclaimer to that online, Jeff from Gem state pest control contacted me through Angi and offer his services to treat ants problem i had in my house, on the phone and onsite agreed price was 150$, the severe ant issue was brought to his information on the phone and onsite. When he arrived and been asked to check the crawlspace he couldn't perform it due to medical limitations (which I fully understand), he mentioned that his colleague will follow up and check the crawlspace space in a later phase the next week. Also he said that if the issue repeats to call him and he will spray again. Few days after I received invoice the total cost of $190 ($150 + $40 lead fee), the additional 40$ wasn t mentioned in any previous communication or estimation. I paid the 190$. Given the statements from Jeff I was under the impression that his colleague would follow up on the crawl space as discussed on his visit and if any additional ant appearances would be within a reasonable time window it will be addressed without extra charges as he mentioned verbally on his first visit. 2 weeks after on Monday 6/23/25 I wake up with ants in my master bedroom bed and bathroom, contacting Jeff, he says that he will be available tonight - not mentioning any costs, they came afternoon him and his colleague, sprayed and placed few baits, that day i receive additional invoice, 200$, adding $200 more seems excessive, hence i contacted Angi. I do have concerns about the additional $200 charge for the revisit, considering it's only been two weeks since the initial treatment. I tried discussing with Jeff on possible alternatives or adjustments to ensure the issue is fully resolved while being mindful of the costs, I value his service and would like to find a mutually agreeable solution. However as he mentioned he can charge as much as he wants as we don't have service agreement which is not acceptable."

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Boise, ID

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
