They were the most competitive and fair in pricing of all the solicited bids, and answered the questions I had in a prompt and courteous fashion. The installation itself was preformed on time and professional in scope. They did an excellent job. They thoroughly cleaned up when completed. "Well, they were late.  Didn't bring a ladder,  but I have an extra that another contractor left here, so I had one they could use.  Cleaned the gutters, which required removing the  gutter covers/ leaf preventers (hah!) and then re-installing them.

Unfortunately, about 3 weeks later we had some pretty strong winds and 3 of the gutter covers blew off.  I hadn't gotten around to re-installing them when they came to install the Christmas lights, so they put them back on for me.

Also, they didn't turn the water off when they were through.  A couple weeks later the POA came by to tell me I had a water leak; well , no, the fools had left the water running.  My water bill was triple that month.  Sheesh.

So, yeah, I wouldn't have made the same mistakes if I'd done it myself, but I really don't want to be on the roof where it's a two-story drop and there's no one here to watch.  So I'll probably use these folks again, but I also know to check EVERYTHING before they leave."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
