"We engaged American Kitchen Concepts on a multi-room renovation of our kitchen, dining room, family room, and laundry room. Dan worked with us before the project to accommodate our completion date requirements. Dan's team gutted the 45 year old kitchen, removed several walls and installed flooring in 4 rooms. It was an ambitious undertaking particularly due to some pre-existing conditions in the foundation and sub floor. Dan's team was professional, courteous and as accommodating as possible during the 6 week project. Dan himself was very involved and responsive to questions throughout the project. Some significant additional expenses beyond the scope of the contract were identified during the project and agreed upon as necessary for successful completion. The details of these costs were not articulated until completion of the project, and we would have preferred to know the specific details at an earlier stage. We are VERY pleased with the resulting kitchen and quality of the workmanship which achieved our original project vision and expectations!"

"Excellent job! The floor was old and I thought about removing it. Called them, John came out and said they could resand the floor and replace tiles. He understood it was also a radiant heat floor and came up with a solution and quote that was fair. Workers arrived on time, cleared room, sealed off room from rest of house and got to work. After sanding the floor looked amazing, and after staining and 2 coats of oil based polyurethane (right solution) it looked incredible. All COVID precautions taken, John came back to check in during the job and afterwards for walk through. This was a very good job at a reasonable price. I'm extremely happy with the results and will call them again in 50 years when I need to re-do the floor. In the meantime it should be fine until then :-)"

After reading the good Angies List reviews, I decided to get a third quote from Dependable Carpet & Flooring. I spoke to Tom, the owner, who personally came out. Unlike the chain stores, Tom took time to review our needs and later emailed us a carefully designed, competitive quote without pressuring us. Showing a willingness to work with us, he gave us different options for replacing only the damaged carpeting or the whole basement. He beat the competitors' pricing, and even offered more choices in terms of carpet and padding. We decided to do the whole basement, and we're glad we did. The installers came out and did a great job, and were friendly to my kids while still working efficiently, getting the job done in one day. The new carpet looks and feels fantastic. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dependable Carpet & Flooring. We are so happy with the job that we will call them again if we save up enough to re-carpet our upstairs bedrooms."

"Of the several quotes we received in response, Eduard's Wood Floors, LLC was the only one that provided a detailed and accurate estimate with materials, labor and removal and disposal fees. Juan (the owner) followed up with an on-site visit to verify dimensions, expectations and to offer advice and recommendations. We had originally thought we would remove and replace our existing wood floors, but after consulting with Juan, we decided to refinish our existing wood flooring at less than half the price and with a custom color and finish. The floors look absolutely amazing, and Eduard's Floors provided service and value beyond compare. Our porcelain tile and wood floor refinishing project was completed within the contracted price (with only minor additional costs based on some unexpected leveling) on-time and at a quality and customer service that are nothing short of remarkable in the Washington metropolitan area. Juan estimated the amount of material needed, ordered the tile stock and picked it up and delivered the material to the job site and there were only three (3) tiles remaining after the installation. The installation staff at Eduard's Wood Floors were courteous, respectful of our neighbors and scheduled work time during the week to minimize noise disturbance in our building.
