"There was a 2-3 week delay in getting the windows for the enclosed patio but no fault of Porch Masters. <br /> In fact they got us a $500 reduction for the delay. Last June I called for some small additional work on the porch & they responded immediately. It should be noted that they provided many references prior to the job. I called on 3 who were all very happy with their work. My wife & I are very happy with the total experience & are glad to give this excellent review."

"My roof had sustained damage from recent severe storms in my area. I contacted several roofing companies, through internet searches and some local advertisers. I received a few inspections and multiple estimates, but wasn't satisfied or felt comfortable enough with any of those contractors to hire them do the job. So, I started asking around for referrals from friends and neighbors. My coworker recommended Braswell construction, since she's used their services before and were very pleased. I called right away, spoke to owner Chris Braswell, we setup an appointment and he came out the next day. He assessed the roof, and we both agreed that my entire roof needed immediate replacement. Chris was very professional, he explained all the details clearly for me to understand. Two days later his team were out replacing my roof. They did an excellent job, completed the roof and cleaned up the debris all in the same day. I am totally loving my new roof! it looks amazing, and I'm glad I went with the color shingles Chris suggested based off his experience...since I couldn't make up my mind picking a color. I am very glad I chose Braswell and would definitely recommend them in the future. The service was superb! Carolee"

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"The entire experience was top-notch from beginning to end. I had been working with another local company for weeks. The people there never contacted me unless I contacted them first, so every time I asked for something -- an estimate, an answer to a question, and so on -- they said they'd get back to me, but didn't until I called again. Because it was dragging on so long that it was putting the work on my house behind schedule, I called NRG to see if they could do better. William Strickland, the owner, was out the next day to look at the existing doors, exactly when he said he would be there, and he provided me with an estimate by the end of the day. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and he took the time to do research on a new line of doors that he told me were of very high quality but would be less expensive than other options. He told me how long it would take for the doors to get in, and it turned out that they were actually available a week earlier than expected. During the time I was waiting for the doors to come from the manufacturer, I had a couple of questions, and he always was available when I called or else he called back almost immediately. He generally knew the answer to my questions, but if he didn't, he found out and called me back. <br /> On the day of installation, his installers were here when they said they would be here, and William showed up for an hour or so to make sure everything was going as planned. The installers were highly skilled. They worked quickly and did an excellent job. They were also careful to ask questions and make sure that they were doing the job exactly how I wanted them to do it. The doors themselves were of very high quality and exactly as described. One problem appeared with the doors a week after installation -- because of a manufacturing flaw, a bit of the finish pulled off on one handle when some painter's tape was removed. William responded very quickly when I called. The local representative of the door company was at my house the next day, looked at the handle, agreed there was a problem, and ordered a replacement. <br /> Bottom line: I have worked with many different contractors over the years -- and many just in the past few months as we have been renovating our family room -- and I have never been more pleased with one than I am with NRG. Similarly, I've left a number of reviews on Angie's List, and this is the best I have written. NRG does far more than replace doors and windows -- they will build or renovate entire rooms, including kitchens and sunrooms. When it is time to do more work like this, I will certainly be calling NRG again. <br />"

"It was a good experience.  They did a good job with the windows and doors.  The windows cost me $6000 and the doors cost me $3000.  I was happy with the installation.  Considering the fact that I have lifetime warranty on them and that they would replace anything that needs to be replaced, the price was very good.  I didn’t have any concerns."

"Screens are not what they say. I have so many gnats and so much windblown dirt in the window seals it's awful. The site says 10% discount for seniors. At what age do they consider to be senior? I didn't receive a discount either time and i'm 62. The second salesman was nice but pushy and very quick to put the contract in front of us. Not to happy with that.Overlooked a few details I wanted to discuss. Loved the first salesman we had which was a much more mature and helpful gentleman. Call back on checking work after it was finished didn't happen the second time. Overall I think they are way overpriced. Waiting on third install."

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"John Robillard and Sam Morlett did a fantastic job remodeling my garage into a home entertainment room. They completely changed the outside on the home so that one couldn't even tell there were ever garage doors there. There are no left over garage squares. Just two new windows and shutters with new siding that looks like the builder built the wall with the home new. Inside they dry walled the inside, made fan and new power outlets. They took off the garage entry door and widen the entry to make it an entrance space just like one into any other room. Also they create larger, safer steps into the new space. Now of course we still have to wood or carpet and paint it. But my family is very happy to have this new space for the kids after downsizing. We knew we would not have it if we did not do it right when we moved in. Sam and John were always on time, flexible and super nice. I would highly re come them for any home improvement job. They just built a brand new deck for one of my very good friends last month too that he absolutely loves. They too are talking about having John and Sam do their garage and built a new garage next to it! <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Boston, GA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
