"We had an excellent experience with Jacuzzi! We had 2 showers and 1 bathtub, all damaged and leaking, that needed to be replaced. The installers were friendly and professional. They all did excellent work and we're very happy with the new showers and baths. We've had some bad experiences with other contractors recently, so it was very refreshing to have such a smooth and high quality experience. Thank you so much Tanner, Garrett, Andrew F, Kaden, and Armando!"

"My review is already out there. I wanted to add that when Travis arrived, the garage area where he needed to work was cluttered and he helped my wife move the clutter. Also my wife did not know that our old water heater was missing earthquake straps so she had not mentioned this as part of the job. Travis did not have straps on Sunday but he returned on Monday early in the morning and installed the straps for only $20."

"I called Jason when we needed two bathrooms remodeled. These were two of the last rooms we hadn't updated since moving in and they really needed attention. Jason demoed them down to the studs, moved the toilets, poured new concrete and rebuilt them from the ground up. We've been enjoying them now for a while. Excellent work."

"EDI helped us with our home renovation, which included two and a half bathrooms and our living room. I can only say good things about the work and the process. Asaph made it very easy and simple for us, the work started on time and was completed ahead of schedule. We got exactly what we wanted and I think the price was fair. We plan on remodeling our kitchen next year and hope that Evolve could help us with the next project as well. Thank you very much!"

"Pros: 1) 2 man crew worked 2 days to get all the plumbing work done. They were here at 8:00 in the morning and stayed until after dark ('til almost 8:00 the 2nd day). I don't believe I saw them take a break in all the time they were here. Floors where they worked were carefully covered and they cleaned up daily. Both men were very polite and professional. 2) When minor problems arose, they were very cooperative in solving them to suit my preferences. 3) They not only removed the old material and water heater, but disconnected and hauled away an outdated and rusted out solar tank and it's piping. 3) Price. They beat my next best estimate by about 60%. 4) Material used was heavy Type-L copper pipe and commercial quality valves (I checked). Cons: 1) 2 minor problems (one was due to a lazy inspector) caused the job to not pass inspection the first time. Inspector is due back on Monday. 2) It took over a week to get the trenches in my front yard filled in."

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Boulder Creek, CA

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
