"Really well. Nathan was stellar, professional and a great problem solver! One of the best electricians I have worked with in years (I am an engineer). He quickly assed the issues and recommended a great path that made me feel a lot better about the stability of the panels, their breaker ratings and plans for future upgrades. I will be working with you all again! I can't say enough about Nathan!"

"They provided prompt service. He fixed three ceiling lights which took about fifteen minutes in the attic. The bill was 230.00. Expensive, I thought. He was coughing and had no mask on. I am a covid survivor and can't afford to get it again. I left the room"

"Fantastic the technician was courteous and explained what needed to be done to get the power back on for my garage bathroom and outdoor plugs Several solutions were offered and it made a lot of sense to rework the plugs so the bathroom plugs wouldn’t be affected by the garage or outside plugs They installed some new gifs and now and don’t have to worry about if my bathroom plugs will work if it rained recently I will definitely call them again uf I have another electrical problem"

"This company is great. After a homeowners insurance inspection, I needed my electrical panel upgraded. I thought I would have to replace the entire panel. United Electrical Solutions pro came out and said all I needed was the main circuit breaker replaced. He saved me a ton of money. These guys are easy to work with, very professional, honest and friendly."

"Came to my home, assessed the situation, told me what the problem was and then fixed it. Note - He had to leave to get some part(s). He did not charge me for the time to get. He also educated me how electric current works gave me confidence knowing my electrical system will not fail."

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Bowling Green, FL

Yes, a licensed electrician is essential for this project. Running an electrical service from the road to your house involves connecting to utility power lines, complying with national and local electrical codes, and safely handling high-voltage systems.

Licensed professionals understand proper wire sizing, grounding requirements, and voltage drop calculations needed for safe installation. Most jurisdictions require permits and inspections that only certified professionals can obtain. The safety risks and potential for property damage make this project inappropriate for DIY attempts.

Overhead installations are less expensive than underground options. For a 1000-foot run, overhead service costs between $8,000 and $15,000, while underground service ranges from $10,000 to $25,000.

Overhead lines require less labor and fewer materials since they don't need trenching or conduit. However, underground lines offer better protection from weather events and aesthetic benefits. Your decision should balance your budget constraints with long-term reliability and visual preferences.

You might need to upgrade your electrical panel depending on your power requirements. If your existing panel cannot handle the additional load from the extended service, upgrading to a 200-amp service (costing $750 to $2,000) may be necessary.

A licensed electrician can evaluate your current system and determine if an upgrade is required. Factors include what you'll be powering at the end of the line, existing electrical demand, and whether voltage drop over the distance will affect performance.

Running electric service from the road to a house requires electrical permits from your local building department, costing between $500 and $2,000 depending on your location. You may also need excavation permits for trenching work if installing an underground service. Your utility company will have its own application process for connecting to its grid. A licensed electrical contractor can handle all the necessary permit applications as part of their service, ensuring your installation meets all local code requirements.
