"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"Jason and his team upgraded and replaced the electrical panels, meter sockets, and most of the outlets at a multi-family property I own. They did incredible, clean, safe work. And even communicated with the tenants! They made everything easy, and the inspection passed with flying colors. Incredible job!"

"We had a list of items that needed to be completed (driveways lamps posts/lighting, cathedral ceiling fan, various fixtures, etc.) and a couple of more involved projects we were thinking of doing, like a hot tub installation. Harland Electric was responsive, prompt, courteous and professional throughout the entire process—from initial contact, estimate and work. They itemized each of the projects so that we could pick and choose the work that needed to be done, and were helpful in detailing the complexities of certain projects and weighing the pros and cons of having electrical work done. During the course of coming to the house and knocking every item off of our list (which took 1.2 days worth of work/time), they also alerted us to an electrical fire hazard for an outdoor flood light that another electrician from another previous company just left and said was okay. They replaced the entire light and wiring and now it looks great the way it illuminates our side yard! We even overpaid at the end of the project and they immediately let us know! They are scheduled to return in the spring to install a pool heater and we have no doubt they will do a great job. Overall, great service, highly ethical company and good value overall. Highly recommend!"

"Everything was done well and done quickly! Very reasonable as well since Joe found a way to wire the doorbell without tearing up half the basement (which has plastered ceilings - no drop). Really happy to finally have our video doorbell installed without paying an arm and a leg. Unlike some other contractors Joe did not try to sell me on a hardwired chime I don't need because these video doorbells can ring your Alexa or Google home. Everything completed between 9 and 1 on the same day. Very efficient."

"Michael came to my house and upgraded my 100 amp panel to a 200 amp panel for my solar installation project I had coming up. He was very thorough in explaining all the work that needed to be done, how long I would be without power, and was very knowledgeable in all of the questions I had. After removing my service and replacing it with the new 200 amp, he went through the entire house and checked what each breaker was wired to and marked it inside my panel very neat and organized. Couldn’t be happier with the experience from start to finish. "Just call these guys. There. Done. James and his brother, Daniel, came out to move a wall installed TV. I wanted it lower and the job entailed moving two outlets lower as well, then patching the drywall. These two were great: very knowledgable, incredibly professional, highly skilled, very friendly, cleaned up over and over while working (the mom in me LOVED that) and charged a very fair price. I felt they went above and beyond what most installers would do and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job. Even better? They will come weekends and evenings at no extra charge. I highly recommend them. Just had to come back and say that, because Daniel did such a fabulous job repairing my drywall and painting after my TV was moved, I hired him to come and repair drywall with water damage and repaint that as well. His work is invisible!! He did an awesome job!! Swift, impeccably clean, VERY reasonably priced. I don't always go for the cheapest estimate because I'm fearful of sloppy work. Daniel gave me the best estimate as WELL AS the best work! I had to go to work as well as run errands while he was in my home. I trust him implicitly."
