"Pedro came out when he said he was going to and did a terrific job on stucco -ing a large section on my house. He also applied stucco to a large retaining wall and matched the texture perfectly. We were very happy with his work."

"We worked with Brother & Brother for a full downstairs remodel including rebuilding a bathroom. Daniel, our project manager, is so responsive, always available by email/ phone/ text to discuss things that would come up. We kicked off our project right when COVID-19 shut downs started and so it took a long time for the city to approve our plans, but Daniel was resilient and checked in frequently throughout the process. Once we did get started on the work, we were so happy working with Daniel and Byron, our foreman. Byron and his team were diligent, detailed and true problem solvers. Proposing solutions or nuances that we hadn’t previously anticipated. Further, the crew was timely, respectful, very diligent about COVID regulations, and making sure the entire work area was clean every single day. We anticipated not having access to a whole floor in our home would be a hassle but ultimately it was a minor inconvenience thanks to all of the team’s efforts. Ultimately we have been so happy with the work done by Brother & Brother - and we recently hired them for another project in our home and can’t wait to get started!"

"I contacted Michael and 2 other contractors to paint the exterior of my house.  I ended up adding a bathroom to the project subsequent to the exterior quote.
Michael returned my call immediately and was able to come out to my house and deliver an estimate in a couple days.  He was the cheapest of the contractors by about 25%.  We was ready to work the following week.
Michael was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable.  He called every day to give an update and a status report on the project. After the first day of scraping, I noticed that the cleanup was OK, but some was left over.  Michael took care of it the next morning and I didn't have any other issues.
The painting was done reasonably quickly (there was a rain scare), and it was thorough and looked great.  I would use Michael again for any project, and encourage others to add him to your list when bidding a project out.

"Excellent!!! Christopher Rubio was very responsive and kept me abreast of time of arrival throughout the day. He had a project in the morning and was coming to perform work for my mom later in the day. I was coming from an hour away so trying to coordinate time. He was very punctual and ended up waiting for me to arrive since I was delayed in traffic. Install went very well. We ran into a snag with one of the shower bars because the second stud could not be clearly identified, so Christopher immediately located a hardware store nearby and purchased tile anchors to secure bar into wall. He wanted to ensure that the bars installed were safe for my mom as if he were installing them for his mom or grandmother. He left the area clean and performed the job well. He made an elderly woman (my mom) very happy and I have piece of mind that my mom is safe having grab bars in her shower area. Thanks Christopher! I highly recommend Christopher to anyone whom is seeking a handyman. (He does painting, plumbing, electrical, TV Mounting, baby proofing and misc repairs as well)."

"Benny and his team did outstanding work on our home. It was really outdated inside and they made it look modern and clean. They knocked down some horribly textured walls and then painted and also painted our kitchen and cabinets. It was not an easy job and they were super quick and diligent in making sure every detail was perfect. They have a very hard working team and they went the extra mile including hauling away some refuse that wasn’t even part of the job- really kind folks who care about their quality of work. 10/10 would recommend! We will continue working with them as other projects pop up. Look no further! Thank you Benny and team!"

"TerraVenti installed new solar panels on my house. I’m surprised on how quick the turn around time was for installation. I’m saving over $100 on electricity a month from the solar panel. This money will be saved for my son’s college education fund. It was a win-win decision."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Boyes Hot Springs, CA

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
