"I would highly recommend JCT solutions. We had a room replastered and a new attic access installed. JCT were great at communicating from the beginning and throughout the project. Mark is professional and they are reasonably priced. The plastering team were efficient, worked well together and cleaned up after the project was completed. We are really happy with the end result and would work with Mark and JCT solutions again! Thank you for making our spare room usable again!!"

"I couldn't be happier with the work.  Scheduling the service was relatively easy given we were trying to do it during a time with lots of rain and a severe storm that created emergency work.  The price was good, while not the cheapest quote I had, it was best combination of price and time until the work could be completed.  Nathan was knowledgeable and friendly.  The tree looks great.  I would definitely recommend Nathan to anyone else and plan to contact him for any future work. <br />"

"It took awhile as I had hired the wrong people and had to let them go. Professional Patio took over but had to take care of prior comments first, then all the rain came and the ground would get soaked so I couldn?t get the termite guys out nor have my air conditioning moved and of course you can?t pour concrete at that time, so took awhile but so, so worth it! I love it!! I am so thankful to this <br /> <br /> company for stepping in and helping me out of a bad situation. Jamie and his team were very hard workers! Cheryl was so nice and patient with me. Her help made it all so very easy. Everyone was very professional, pleasant, helpful and respectful people. <br /> <br />I am going to hire them again when I redo my front patio! They also have reasonable prices! <br /> <br /> Thanks! <br /> <br /> Every one for such a great job!"

"Elliot Davis, owner, is highly professional, incredibly responsive, respectful, and trustworthy. We can’t say enough about his attention to detail, which is amazing. During the planning stage of phase 1 of our project, Elliot patiently listened to our desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could be encountered. We were extremely lucky and grateful to have Elliot personally oversee the project. He is a ‘hands-on” owner working side-by-side with his craftsmen who were also courteous, caring, and hardworking. It took several months and interviews with potential stamped concrete contractors in our own area, Louisiana, before we decided to hire Decorative Concrete Designs, Inc. of Mississippi. While this was not the cheapest company pricewise, we made the right decision as the end results far exceeded expectations making the cost well worth it. It was a pleasure working with everyone and in the end, we made a friend in Elliot. We will definitely use this company again in phase 2 of our project, which will be our pool deck and outdoor kitchen area. We highly recommend Decorative Concrete Designs, Inc. of Mississippi without reservation.‎ THANK YOU ELLIOT!!"

"The work that was done was done very well. However, there were patches that had not been filled with sod. About a 1/3 of the way along the side of the garage, it just stopped - nothing. After having a new patio put in, no sod was placed between the patio and fence. When we called to complain, they came out and covered those areas with pine straw. No attention to detail, very disappointed. The workmen were all very nice."

"I contacted Elton Bates at Tree Experts on 7/2/13, he set up an appointment to give me the estimate. Mr. Bates showed up on time and gave me an estimate of $2100.00 for the entire job. I had to use three other outfits to get estimates on the work because they are specialists, the estimates for 3 separate parts of the job came in $500.00 over what Elton could do with one crew. <br /> <br />Then we had to wait for a break in the rain so the backyard wouldn't be a lake. week after week every other day it either rained here or where Elton was going to get the dirt. He kept in touch on a regular basis so I didn't feel abandoned. Finally we caught a break and this morning Elton called and said he was on the way, The crew showed up at my house with a big load of dirt and aggregate and commenced to work. Elton stayed on site for the entire time and his started working as soon as they arrived. They are very professional. 5 hours later my backyard now will drain and receive enough sunshine to grow real grass. My wife's garden boxes are ready to be filled with flowers, herbs and veggie. and the mosquito hole is history. The crew cleaned up after themselves and away they went. Excellent experience, I will definitely be recommending Tree Experts to all of my friends and family. <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Braithwaite, LA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
