"The salesman arrived on time.  The estimate took over 2-a-half-hours and was not just an estimate.  He was very pushy and wanted us to sign documents that day.  All we wanted was an estimate.  We had heard good things about this company, but after this experience would never hire them or suggest to our family/friends.  After being told that we only wanted an estimate and wasn't prepared to sign anything that day, he continued telling how great the product was and that all offers made would walk out the door with him if we didn't sign.  I could've also done without the NASA lesson and constant vomiting of alleged stats from one national study or another.   I did my research, as do most consumers.  I planned, at most, an hour for this as I had already had two other companies out.  They each took actual measurements and provided pricing information, all within a 30 min max visit.  Sho Pro didn't even measure anything?  We told him the approx. square footage.  He was more concerned about the type of thermostat on the wall and that we didn't have our water heater wrapped.  Part of his pitch was financial seminar that was presented in an elementary fashion and very insulting.  WE ASKED FOR AN INSULATION ESTIMATE - that is all. <br />"

"If  you want to hire an experienced contractor that understands time allowance, costs, and the right way to do things, hire Jack.  He finished my kitchen renovation that another contractor left unfinished a year ago.  I called Jack to paint, trim down, and install my closet door, properly finish my engineered flooring, including 5 thresholds the original contractor left undone, build and paint all my trim work, including custom made base, window, and door trim to match the rest of my house.   Jack finished painting what was left unpainted, filled in nail holes, sanded and painted throughout my kitchen.  He installed 2 built-in shelves,  3 door locks, hung 2 heavy mirrors and a coat rack for me.  He even stacked 3 cabinets on my back kitchen wall for me to give me more storage.  My kitchen is finally completed to my satisfaction, thanks to Jack.   I am very happy. <br />      Jack is a likable guy.  If you are honest with him, he will be honest with you.  He is a professional at what he does and it shows.  My job took a couple of days longer than estimated, but Jack stayed true to his original cost. <br /> <br />"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there.
