"Howard did an excellent job. He removed all hardware, sanded the door down, applied stain and spar varnish and corrected a problem where the door was binding in the jam. He called to confirm appointment, arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner"

"I called on March 2nd about 6:30 in the evening for an emergency call to reset the garage door because a roller had come off. The guy arrived about 9:50 p.m.  It took him less than 30 minutes which was great.  He told me they needed to come back to complete the job to replace all the rollers and we agreed that Saturday was best and he would let the dispatcher know.  No one contacted me for that Saturday appointment.  I waited a few days and then forgot about it because I was going out of town.  When I got back in town a week later, I called and was given an appointment for 9:00 a.m. on the 17th.  The person setting the appointment told me it was a firm appointment time.   Due to my work schedule, I had a friend come over to my house to give the repairman access to the garage. The repairman didn't show up until NOON.  I called to complain to a manager at the company but was put on hold for so long that I hung up.  I never spoke to a manager.  The cost for this job was $400 which I paid the night of the emergency repair.  I paid by check.  Had I known what the service would be like, I would have paid by credit card so I could contest the charge and the service.  I will not be using this company again.  The work product is good but the punctuality and professionalism for the price speaks volumes. Hence, the poor marks."

"HRR has performed work on a couple properties since 2014. Much of the work was to correct problems left by a previous contractor. Services ranged from floor tile, painting, a/c work, Sheetrock repair, plumbing, appliance installation, blind installation, etc. They manage change requests efficiently and provide cost before work is started. I trust Phil and his contractors with full access to the properties if I am not there.

He is very professional and easy to work with. He also shows a great deal of respect for your home by covering furniture that may get dusty/dirty with plastic and cleaning up after the job. "Had Jose come by to get an estimate on getting the entire shower stall done. When he got here we talked about what we wanted done and he showed us pictures of samples of what it would most likely look like and he would get back with us on the estimate.. Then my wife and I started talking about how good it was going to look .We started looking around and decided why not go ahead and have the entire bathroom done to give it a fresh new look...contacted Jose to let him know that we wanted to expand the scope of the job......he gave us an second estimate for the added work and we went from there . We were very satisfied with the completed work. The bathroom looks fantastic. Have used JY HANDYMAN SERVICES a couple of times now and will use them again. Jose and his crew do excellent work and they make sure its done right and things are cleaned up. Also like to thank his wife for keeping us informed and updated on the what's and the when's things were going to happen. She does a great job of keeping you informed.......We talked to Jose about having our front bathroom redone @ the first part of 2019.. He said to give him a call and he would be out to give us an estimate. Another big thanks to JY HANDYMAN SERVICES......job well done!!!"

"It could not possibly have gone better. I got a very quick response from Y&D General Remodeling and Repairs to my bid request. They gave me an excellent bid price and even after I looked at the damage in better light and told them there was more to be repaired, they still didn't charge me more. They showed up exactly on time, assessed the situation, obtained the necessary materials, and completed the job right away. They actually saved us money because they did such a good job of reattaching the garage door rails that we did not have to call out a garage door repair place. My husband, who is no easy critic, was super-impressed and so was I. I will absolutely contact them with any future projects."
