"I have used Southern Guys Landscaping (Joe O) for two projects. The first project was a french drain with multiple downspout captures routed into the french drain. The design concept was really neat with videos provided showing how it worked. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the quality of the installation. I was impressed with the entire experience so I had them bid the construction of a firepit area with round limestone brick boarder, black star gravel, and CUSTOM pavers. Came out really pretty but most importantly, the construction (footers, landscape fabric, rebar ... etc) was top notch construction. They are now my go-to Guys!!!"

"They are very professional and do a quick clean and very good job.  They replaced all the underside of my roof overhand and the edging on the outside of the house.  The old soffit and fascia were aluminum and they replaced it with vinyl coated and it looks beautiful.  Several years ago, American Home Improvement replaced all of my wood windows in the house with the insulated windows that fold down with cleaning.  This was twelve 3' x 6'  12 pane windows, one picture window and two double windows; they did a wonderful job with that (even cleaned all the windows inside and out when they finished) at a cost of around $10,000.  Because they did such a nice job, I called them again this year to do the overhang. <br /> I have no complaints at all...they are a bit pricey...but they do a fantastic job. <br />"

"We've used Complete Lawn Services for years.  They make appointments...they show up!   They call ahead for days of service and are on time!!   Prices are competitive and very fair.  The work is done quickly and at the cost estimated.  I can't say enough good things about this company.  They are excellent in every way.  Once they recommended someone who could do a particular service  cheaper...it was a service they could perform, but since they didn't do it often, another company could do it cheaper...Wow!  They are the first ones I call! <br />"

"The experience went really well. Communication was a bit patchy but compared to other companies who never even called us back, it was decent. We got a written quote for the pad and drive originally which included a military discount (3,600 total). My husband had mentioned to Donald that we were planning on resurfacing the rest of the driveway as well at some point in the future. On the day of service, Donald offered to a quote to do the rest of the work since the equipment was already on site and that included a military discount as well. The whole project was completed in a day and we are very satisfied with the results and the quality of work. Definitely would recommend him to friends and hire again."

"We have purchased many different plants and trees over the years from Scherz and have never been disappointed with them. The sales staff is very knowledgable as is every person we speak with there. We have returned plants a couple of times and there is absolutely no hassle about replacement and they also tell us what went wrong with the plant. They even admit if it was their fault as far as a bad plant. I cannot speak well enough about this company but rest assured it is an A+ company for sure."

"It was too small a job for a lot of fencing companies I contacted, or it was going to take a long time. The owner of the company, Nick, gave me a quote within a few days of my call. His price was just under the other quotes I had. He told me exactly when they would start (I think it was about two weeks) and when they would finish. The fence is very straight and very sturdy. I'm really happy with it. Nick was always available by phone or email when I had questions. They also worked the fence around a giant live tree that was right in the middle of the property line and were careful about clearing enough brush to put in and maintain the fence without damage to all the live trees around. I'm very happy with their work. <br />"

"They showed up on time. They called ahead of time. We live out in a country and out here, it is really hard to get someone who actually shows up. We would be lucky if we get someone that will show up or come by. They called and followed up and all of that, so it is pretty very good and they did a good job. They did what they said they were going to do and they did it within the cost. I am happy with them as far as tree service. They wanted to do some landscape work for me but they are not really landscape people that I could see but debating I might do that too but the tree service they did excellent. I would use them again in future when needed."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Brenham, TX

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
