"Excellent, the team was very responsive and thorough. They walked through our concerns and quickly solved the problem. We will be using them again for a set of damaged window sills in the near future."

"Charles did a great job again - we used him to renovate two bathrooms 4 1/2 years ago. We called him late in the summer, and he came to the house to discuss what we wanted to do and provided a quote. Given our schedule as well as his, we agreed on an early December timeframe to have the work done, which he estimated would take a week to complete. He left it to us to pick out the appliances on our own and did not include them in the quote and just asked that we send him the specs once we did so he could make sure there would be no issues. He took us to the tile/countertop shop to pick out the quartz and backsplash tile, and to plumbing stores to pick out the sink and faucet. He came with the countertop fabricator a few weeks ahead of the scheduled start date to have the countertop templated so it would be ready prior to starting the job. We delayed the start date by about a week to accommodate both our schedules. The demolition was done in one day as promised, and Charles had one person assisting with the demo, the prepping for the tiling and doing the tiling. Chris was very good, and everything was left clean each day - they used drop cloths from the front door to the kitchen to make sure no dirt was spread though the house. Charles installed most of the appliances when they were delivered, and did great work removing and reinstalling shutters on the windows and making adjustments for a slight change in counter height, as compared to the old countertop. Charles has great attention to detail and makes sure everything looks great. The work took a day or two longer than planned due to an unexpected snowstorm in the middle of the project, so there was a day or two when no one could get out to the house, understandably. Charles is easy to work with and obviously takes pride in making sure the finished product is what you wanted and expect. We would definitely hire Charles again."

"Jim with Evolution Home Improvement performed a wide variety of jobs for us this fall as we prepared for a renter in our basement. He cut and later patched ceiling drywall as part of an electrical project, covered earthquake strapping with soffits, installed stair railings, built a section of cedar fencing, installed a gate in our backyard, and coordinated to have a section of linoleum installed in the entryway of our rental space. (I may have missed something there, but you get the idea; he's a jack of all trades, and quite skilled.) Jim and his employee were consistently friendly and responsive, and they did quality work across a wide range of jobs. The stair railings were partially to help my children navigate the stairs, and he was thoughtful about building them to the right height and even let my 5 year old 'help' him measure and observe for a little while. He was flexible and understanding with regards to the children's presence, which was very much appreciated. The cedar fence he built is beautiful and sturdy, and he selected a lovely gate with a very sturdy latch for keeping the gate closed while my kids are out back. The ceiling patches and soffits were precisely installed, and he made the soffits as small as possible so as to minimize their impact on the room. On his last day working, I asked him if he could help me to secure our electric fireplace, and he added it to that day's list of tasks with no problem, even though it was not in our original contract. My only concern was that there was a communication issue between Jim, myself and the flooring guy he got to install the linoleum. The flooring was installed beautifully the first time, but it was the wrong size/shape. Jim came by immediately when I let him know, he was apologetic and took responsibility for the error, and he assured us that we'd get it fixed asap. However, when his flooring guy came back to redo the job, he spoke very harshly and rudely to both myself and my mother, who was visiting. The error was not mine, but the man blamed me. Jim eventually intervened, and the job was redone, though not with the same careful attention to detail as the first time. The moral of the story is that I would highly recommend Jim and Evolution Home Improvement for odd jobs around the house, with the possible exception of the installation of flooring. Overall, the work Jim did was of high quality, and went a long way toward making my life with kids at home easier and safer."

"Nicholaus was great! So professional, punctual, always kept me in the loop while I was at work. It started with him just painting the fascia, but he noticed that my window frames needed peeled and repainted as well. He asked if I wanted that done too and I said absolutely! He went around my house and took off all the storm windows, peeled and sanded, and repainted them. He went to above and beyond what I had expected. He even power washed my entire house and washed my windows for no extra charge, removed my gutters and washed and replaced them better than they were before. It was about a 4 day job. I would most definitely recommend Nick to anyone and will hire him again. Very good guy. Thanks Nick!"

"Received bid to replace 3 windows on our home. Loren and Jarratt arrived on time and was very helpful and polite. Signed to have the work done. This completes the whole house replacement of windows that we started with Dabella 4 years ago. We love the windows that were previously installed, so we wanted to complete the replacement with the same quality."

"Terry Dote is a thorough, very talented designer. He worked with us in collaborative stages, staying patient & persevering while designing, constructing, & installing for 3 separate spaces in our home. One was a challenging, triangular opening along a staircase for which he created a combination of shelving, storage, & privacy for the  adjacent bedroom. The second is a floor to ceiling wall of open shelves, giving delineation between the Master Bedroom & the Art Studio while preserving sunlight & Mt. Hood views. The 3rd is a complex, whole wall unit for the Home Office consisting of open & closed storage above & below a wall-length table/desk-top. The solutions were in response to my husband's specific ways of filing & organizing with room for decorative display. All 3 projects are sleek & smart, harmonized with the modern lines of our home. Terry graciously worked with us after the initial plans faced a budget cut. He modified to lower costs without sacrificing the beauty or practicality of any of the 3 projects."
