"I made several inquiries looking for a company to extend my driveway. One guy quoted me a price sight unseen over the phone. SureSeal examined the area at my home that I had lined out for the extension, provided me with a written quote, detailing the work to be done, and also came out to meet me ahead of time and talk about the work and answer any questions I had. The quotes I received from 4 companies were all very close within $100. I am very happy with the work SureSeal did. They arrived early in the morning and completed the entire driveway extension in one day. They have all the professional equipment and trucks needed for the job, and the foreman did a great job of managing the team and the process. There is a nice straight seam where the existing driveway and extension meet which was sealed so that it is hardly noticeable. They cleaned up the grass area and existing driveway area as they worked. Looks like the extension has been there all along. When Spring arrives I will contact them to have the entire driveway area seal coated. I would definitely recommend them for any type of asphalt work."

"<p>   Thomas Rowan, owner of Academy Concrete & Masonry, was the first to respond to my phone call after I unsuccessfully tried to get a response from another contractor who was prominently displayed on Angie's site.  Tom came to my0 home early on a Sunday morning and assured me that, as the owner of the company, there were advantage in using a local contractor such as he.</p> <p>  Our job would be repaving our driveway, from the patio to the street.  Also, removal and repaving of two sidewalk blocks.  Despite the early morning, Thomas was most pleasant and although his company did not offer a Senior Discount, he made up for this in other ways.  For example, he advised my wife and me that instead of requiring a concrete depth of six inches, it would be more than adequate to have a five inch depth --saving us $300.  Also, adjacent to the driveway was a small garden wall that Thomas said he would re-cement -- at no additional cost.  After Thomas submitted his written estimate and while waiting for our work date, someone crashed into the garden wall and demolished all but a few bricks.</p> <p>   I called Thomas to ascertain if there would be additional charges.  He kindly said he would repair the wall and even bring in additional bricks if needed.  He said there would be no additional charges.</p> <p>  Our final job: Approximately 570 square feet removal and replacement of five inch thick concrete, four inch thick on sidewalk.  This included a three inch stone base.</p> <p>   I was impressed with his patience in which he answered all my questions regarding the curing using fiber mesh and the sealing.  We also talked  about caring for the finished concrete during the winter.  And it was obvious from his smiles that he was dedicated to his work and delivering a finished job with a "cream" concrete finish.</p> <p>   His five man crew worked diligently and were pleasant and polite.</p> <br />"
