Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "I continue to be impressed with the service from Lane's Appliance Repair. The latest repair was on our KitchenAid dishwasher. Brian D was the repair tech. He is knowledgable, efficient, and professional. In this case, the factory had shipped a wrong part and so Brian had to return a few days later to complete the job. Brian always puts protective covers on his shoes and this time, due to the COVID-19 virus, he also put on a clean pair of gloves before beginning the repair. I find the labor charges to be reasonable. Bottom line, I recommend them very highly."

"Kevon and Doc solved a complicated chimney/fireplace issues at our home a few years ago. Our chimney had been built incorrectly and we replaced our gas insert. "This was disappointing. We’ve been a customer since living in the area for 30+ years. So naturally I called them when there was a problem with my mother’s AC, as she now lives nearby. The AC unit was buzzing but the fan was not running. Unfortunately I could not be there for the repair, but all went well and the AC was back up and running. Then I saw mom’s bill. The repair cost was $495 for a ”Voltage Enhancement System Rejuvenation”. Something I’d never heard of and, according to a little research, doesn’t seem to exist. So I took a look at the unit and saw they replaced the capacitor, a $75 part, and cleaned the fan vents. I could have understood maybe $300, but according to Todd, who I called today, it's a “flat rate charge…and we have overhead…but we didn’t charge for the diagnostic”. He insisted the charge was fair and wouldn’t consider adjusting it. Now he understands that they just lost two customers, one a previously happy, longtime customer."

Their quote was about $400 higher than a competitor, but I chose them because I was told they could complete the job six days earlier. The water heater model was selected by a Lakeside technician during a paid visit to the property. However, on installation day, I was informed that the selected tank would not fit and a more expensive model had to be ordered. More importantly, after the installation, the required permits did not pass final inspection in time. During a City of Ann Arbor rental inspection, I was informed that the final inspection had not been completed, and I was unable to obtain the required certificate. As a result, I had to pay a $500 fine. In 2026, the unit required repair. I was informed that the issue appeared related to improper installation (including dissimilar metals in contact, leading to corrosion). Lakeside did not stand behind their work, and I had to pay for the repair."

"stay away- they are very dangerous- improperly installed (twice before realizing their error) a natural gas water heater in a home that only has natural gas. Luckily no harm - this time- but realize the water heater states to use the proper gas- danger of harm including death. Please be aware that they took the old water heater out - so they should have known the type of gas (plus drove right pass the big outside LP tank multiple times) There are a lot of other issues but this was the most disturbing"
