"G and his team are very hard workers and do an excellent job. This is the 4th time I've hired him to do concrete work. First job was an RV pad 30'x 14'. Second job was very nicely done color stamped sidewalk in front of the house. Liked that so much we had him come back and do another patio in the back yard. This time we had him tear out old Asphalt and put in a new concrete double car driveway. Super nicely done and he is very reasonably priced. The team cleaned up the area when completed. 5 star work for sure, would recommend him to anyone looking for a great deal for cement work and getting it done right the first time. Kim and Jackie"

"During my course of researching for the most competent concrete and masonry contractor in the Portland/Wilsonville area, I began asking neighbors in the community for referrals. The name “All About Concrete and Masonry” came up again and again. Not only that, but neighbors were happy to showcase Ron's work for me. Because a previous concrete contractor had poured a concrete patio up against the cedar siding of my home, the siding had dry-rotted! Also, my brick pillars were failing. I needed to know what my options were from a knowledgeable concrete and masonry professional! I telephoned Ron. Ron was prompt, knowledgeable, pleasant and down to earth. He explained my options thoroughly, and provided estimates for various options. On the day the first of the jobs was scheduled, Ron and his crew arrived ready to go to work! I found Ron's crew to be super hard-working and conscientious! When the work was completed, the crew cleaned up the area to perfection. In my book All About Concrete and Masonry is the best, hands-down! Since then, I have had Ron and his crew do all of my masonry and concrete repairs. When the time comes to replace my concrete driveway, I plan to select 'pavers', and All About Concrete and Masonry will without a doubt be my #1choice to do the job!"

"WONDERFUL! We now have a safe, well-lit driveway, bounded by a well reinforced retaining wall that is, if I might say so myself, beautiful! The project lasted about 6 months. During that time, crew sizes ranged from one to eight people, depending on the nature of the work being done on a given day. The crew was professional and courteous - Ezra and Levi make a great team! On the subject of price- yes, $87,000 was steep to us. However, it was completely consistent with other bids we received, but GWC's bid INCLUDED things that other bids did not: demolition and haul-away of our old paver stones (and hauling a few to our neighbor's house for them to repurpose). The "negatives" are few and minor, particularly given the scope of the project: We had a couple of miscommunications as to when we wouldn't be able to use our driveway, and a few times the crew blocked our neighbor's driveway. (We're on a flag lot.) Once the project was done, we re-engaged GWC to install a drainage grate. Again, it was completed beautifully and we now have very little, if any, run-off hitting our driveway (we live at the bottom of a hill). I recommend GWC to anyone who asks! They are great and I would absolutely hire them again!!! I've included a "before" picture and an "after" shot. The "after" picture doesn't do the project justice."

"Jon and his staff were easy to work with.  He listened to what we wanted to have done, was flexible about changes we wanted after we signed the contract and did exactly what he said he would do, plus some.  His bid came in well below what we received from other businesses and the final product is exceptional.  I would definitely call Stone Solid Installation Company first if I wanted to have a project done that fits their business. <br />"

"I first contacted Todd in March. I spoke with him and a few other firms. He was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I read the reviews on Angies and chose him despite one somewhat negative one, which I mentioned to him. Todd is a great and extensive talker and his explanations seemed reasonable as did his description of what he would do to my driveway. That included removal, adding compacted gravel, and when we asked for it, rebar, cutting a clean line at the street and creating a neat transition between the street and the driveway. When we discussed how I wanted a different color for the pathway than the driveway, he said he would do the integrated color, but that a stain might be cheaper. He did end up doing a stain, though there was no reduction in price. I took him to a driveway in my neighborhood to show him how I wanted the finished job to look and he seemed very knowledgable and told he it would be no problem. <br /> <br /> I became uneasy when he kept delaying the start of demo because of a lack of a dump truck (an extra charge for me, not included in the original bid). Finally they started, Todd, another worker and his girlfriend. It turned out that he did not need to add the compacted gravel, but when I asked for a credit he told me that he had to haul away so much dirt that he would have charged me for that so no credit. I had foolishly thought the removal of the old driveway included hauling the debris. In the process of digging out the new driveway\path my underground sprinkler was cut. Over the years tree roots had wound around the sprinkler line, making repair difficult. Also in removing the river rock Todd removed a great deal of soil and it had to be replaced. Initially when he broke the sprinkler line, he told me it was no problem he would repair it, which I expected, because in the course of initial discussions he assured me he would leave everything looking good. <br /> <br /> When the he tried to cut a clean line between the street and the drive, it crumbled. I'm not sure why though he told me it was because the street was old. I think it was perhaps he didn't use a saw. He seems to have a lack of proper equipment. To create a transition between the street and the driveway, Todd used cold patch asphalt, which looked dreadful. I called him and he told me that it would look better over time and that he did it as a favor to me. Also as a favor to me he brought some dirt from his home and did a poor job of replacing some concrete pavers that had been removed in the course of the work. I did myself a favor and called in a professional asphalt company who removed the bad asphalt job and did it right. I also called in my hardscape guy who fixed the pavers and filled in the areas of missing dirt. <br /> <br /> It turned out Todd wanted to be paid for the sprinkler repair and couple buckets of dirt, I told him I wasn't happy with the price and we reached a compromise. <br /> <br /> I was unable to be home when Todd came to seal the driveway, but I had called and told him there were marks on the driveway from when he stained the path and put in his asphalt patch. He assured me he would clean it all away. After the sealing the marks were still there. They are not terribly noticeable, but what is very noticeable is the 2 inch chunk that broke off a corner by one of the cuts. This occurred yesterday, less than a month after final completion. Todd came by to pick up the final check and took a look at it, blamed the nature of concrete and the kind of cut. I might even be to blame for gluing a piece back in place. He said he could fix it with a patch but it wouldn't look the same. <br /> <br /> After having paid so much for this job I have to say I regret not just doing asphalt again. My driveway doesn't have the polished, professional look of the driveway I had taken him to see. Todd is a nice young man, but he hurries, doesn't pay attention to detail, blames everything else when there is a problem. I never felt that doing the best job for me and making sure I was satisfied was his top priority. It is too bad really, because I think he has the skills to be excellent. <br />"

"The entire project took almost two weeks and included removal of all the <br /> stair ways and existing patios, regrading the grounds, adding gravel <br /> and clean up. They exceeded our expectations in every respect. We were <br /> concerned that with their bid being the lowest of four that corners <br /> might be cut but none were. I would hire them again for any kind of <br /> concrete work and highly recommend them here. <br />"

"We had an area where water was collecting and seeping into the basement wall. The driveway slope was wrong and they put a french drain in my driveway. They knocked out a 12 inch channel from my garage, appx 30 feet and installed a french drain. They dug out the outside wall of the basement and repaired and waterproofed the area. Also repaired interior wall where the concrete had disintegrated from the water.  <br /> <br /> They also did counter flashing on the chimney. They were super responsive to our needs, very easy and professional to work with. I can't think of anything they could have done better."

"David's crew arrived as scheduled and completed the job as promised. They were not able to use the chimney bricks that I had on site since they were not consistent in length. The brick paving used blends well with the landscape. <br /> Debris was removed and the areas were left clear. The crew also had time to trim a hedge and worked efficiently. <br /> David planted new shrubs on a time-and-material basis soon after the contracted work was completed. <br />"

"Very responsive to come out and give us a bid. Right on time for the appointment. No pressure, low key sales which we appreciated. <br /> If we have concrete work to do in the future we won't hesitate to use them. They were very competitive with the other concrete bid we received. <br />"

"To start with, Todd returned my call in an hour, which is amazing. He gave us an estimate for raising slabs to level the sidewalk that was reasonable, and far cheaper than we paid five years ago to get new concrete sidewalk poured. When I mentioned that we had also been told to remove stretches of moss on the sidewalk, he offered to power wash it for less than it would cost to have guys come and scrape it off. After the power wash, we needed a re-inspection before he could get the permit, and he kept in touch to follow up with us on that. As soon as that was settled, he got the permit and finished the work in one day. It looked perfect. Another amazing thing -- I don't pay for the job until after we pass the final inspection. Todd is exactly what you wish every contractor was like (but they aren't)."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Brightwood, OR

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
