"I met Nick after another local outfit fixed the main shut off valve in my basement. The fix was needed after discovering that my water bill had unexpectedly jumped from previous usage and in the steps to determine if there was a leak inside or outside of the house. Because the main shut off was faulty that was the first needed step. The first plumber did indeed replace the main shut off inside the house for 550$. Being a first time homeowner and not being a plumber by trade I assumed that the cost was industry standard. After the shut off was repaired the plumber confirmed that the meter was still spinning and that the mystery leak was outside, meaning that I would need a new water main at a cost of 5300$ of which they would deduct the 550$ we paid for the shut off to be replaced. The price tag was way beyond what we could financially swallow with out a second opinion. Thats how I met Nick. He came out the same day to access and bid the water main replacement. 2775$ was the bid he gave and even apologized that it wasn’t less given the short distance to the house but that there are minimums on equipment which I completely understood. Nick was very honest and upfront about what needed to be done. I asked about a “re-plumb” of the entire house which was being very strongly pitched by the other two outfits that I took bids from. Nick asked, “why, is something broken or not working well?” In fact we don’t have any notable water or plumbing needs or problems. That exchange demonstrated that Nick wasn’t at my house to get my money, he was there to do an honest job and help me sort out the problem at hand. Nick did an incredible job with prep to protect the inside of my house and the clean up was as if he’d never been there. On parting Nick even said I could text him plumbing pictures/questions in the future and he’d help triage the situation for me. That kind of service comes from values that we should all aspire too. Nick is a now a permanent in my contacts list as Nick the plumber and now if someone asks if I know a plumber I can enthusiastically say, “yeah, I know a guy.”"

"Purchased a sprinkler tune up and back flow test with
certification. Paul is a busy guy so it took him a day to get back to me which I
think is very reasonable.  We scheduled
the appointment. He was very punctual. I explained that I had just purchased
the house so he explained how to winterize the system at the end of the season
and how to program the timer at no additional cost. During the inspection, he
found three sprinkler heads that needed to be replaced so he replaced those at
the same time. Total additional cost for the heads installed and adjusted?. $8.97.

"They came out and looked at the yard. The estimate was for removing the lawn, reseeding, and planting bushes. We decided not to use them. They were professional, arrived on time, and were easy to talk to. I have no complaints with them."

"Antonio (owner) was great to work with. He moved a very large Japanese maple to the center of my yard, when other companies said it wouldn’t make it. He put an irrigation system, sod, and a beautiful path. Every plant and lawn has flourished. He is very fair in pricing, and wants to make his customer satisfied. "I am a wanna be gardener but really don't know where to start.  I got a planting plan from a landscape designer with the idea that I could do it myself. I had 4 mature coniferous shrubs that I wanted removed and realized soon that the job was more than what I wanted to handle. I contacted Shannon Landscape & Construction and Brian Shannon came out within a week to look at my project. He gave me a verbal estimate of $1500 and said they could get to it this fall.  The next day I received the written proposal and scheduled it for the following week. The project included removing all old existing sod, removing old shrubs, trimming all other remaining shrubbery and trees (which included one maple and one ornamental cherry), clean up and haul away all debris, bring in 3 yards soil mix.  Prep the ground for the lawn and garden beds. Install approx 200 sq ft of sod. The estimate included all labor, material and equipment and estimated a 3 man crew for 7.5 hours.
    The crew arrived right on time and worked very quickly.  So quickly that they were done in about 4 hours - so I asked if they could do some yard clean up in the back.  Alex, the crew foreman called the office and got the go  ahead to do that and in another 1.5 hours had cleaned up and removed a lot of overgrown plant material.
     Everyone I spoke with at this company is very professional.  It was a pleasure doing business with them and I will definitely be using them again.
